  1. Jack In view of resent events. Whats the position with weapons on vehicles? Barry (Our thoughts are with victims and those that have lost loved ones.)
  2. Eddy Be careful. No you cannot tow a carrier on a trailer behind a van. Its to heavy, you won't stop., and the GTW means the van must have a tacho. As this is new plod are hot on it, and will pull every van they see towing at the moment. Barry London, MKII owner.

  8. This is a real shame this is on the same weekend as the Lincolnsfield Childrens Centre Show at Bushy, Watford. Which is only a few miles up the road. I would have enjoyed bringing my carrier along but also Hendon is in the London emmission zone. Bushy is outside the zone. Good luck with the show

  11. On Saturday 4th April and Sunday the 5th April Lincolnsfields Childrens Centre are running there third Military weekend. This event to my knowledge is the only event in the country which our hobby is invited to that is for a good reason all the proceeds go to the Charity. It is normally well attended by all re-enacters but never over attended by vehicles. Many vehicles/owners put in alot of effort for this event which I know the people at Lincolnsfield are really greatful for. But having been there twice I know the Mil vehicle hobby can do better. And MUST There is an arena that can be used and a good road surface around this forma USSAF Base. There is accomadation in Huts and good camping fields. Easy acsess to the main motorways and good tube and train stations. What this show needs is something like a tank to put on the gate to draw the public in and some sort of organisation for the vehicles. The re-enacters have realised this show is Fantastic, but not us. The guys that run this show are lovely and really welcome you and any ideas. Everything is there to make this as it should be one of our prime public worthwhile shows. Anybody how wants to come along or wants to get involed or has an idea what vehicle owners want to do at a show. Lets here your views. Lincolnsfield Childrens Centre. 4th and 5th April Bushy Hall Drive, Bushy, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD23 2ES 2 mins off Jr5 M1, 8 mins off Jr19 M25. http://www.lincolnsfields.co.uk http://www.fortiesexperience.co.uk
  12. Put me down on the list Little Bren gun carrier. We are used to doing convoys and can nip around. Public love to see us go. Barry London
  13. Fantastic idea!! There is a small show each year At the Lincolnsfield Childrens Centre ( A former USAF base ) near Watford. It has the space for Loaders and a arena. It has some accomadation and event halls. It has good access to M1 and M25, mainline trains and tube. and best of all the guy how runs it is very interested in Military vehicles. The show is done each year to raise money for the Childrens home. Tanks in a parade would raise a lot of money and who's going to stop that. I have spoken to him before about this as there is a good circuit though Watford town. The council are approcable, If its organised properly the police would be fine and as long as you have there blessing the H & E is just ticking boxes.
  14. Anybody got any pictures of the vehicles on Horseguards or do they know the which production company was filming the event. The organisers have told me there are a lot of pictures avalable to members of the TA. but I need to speak to my local branch. Which is not easy as I am not a member of the TA.
  15. Are the garages and workshops still there anybody got any pictures. Gordon Beale and the MT section are still together with most of the vehicles. We all meet regular in Luton.
  16. Been reading in the press about the state of Bletchley Park. How qwickley they forgot how they asked the MT volenteer section to leave 4 years ago. This collection was one of the best in private hands. The section was well run and run some fantastic shows. There was no reason to throw the MT section out. Now the garages and work shops still stand in a terrible state of disrepair. The Mt section survived and is running out of a farm in Luton
