  3. Was a good weekend, had a total of 215 vehicles on site by Sunday lunch time. 46 vehicles took part in the road run on Saturday afternoon. Load of rain Saturday night but dried up by Sunday afternoon. Thanks to everybody who turned up. Ivor
  4. They don't, it belongs to a freind of mine who lives in Leeds. They took it across with a limber for the shoot.
  5. We are on our way Sunday evening, drive down to Portsmouth from Wetherby to get Monday morning ferry. Giving ourselves plenty of time to get there, if you pass a humber staff car and a dodge 6 wheeler its us!! Give us a wave.
  6. For those of you who didn't make it this was a bit special, three Humbers all together.Ours on the right as you look
  7. I will let you know who owns it when I look it up in the entries. Stomin, only had the Spit on Sat as Lanc is broken on continent and was a bit too windy on Sat for the Hurricane. If you though Sat was windy you should have been there on Fri when we were setting the show up.....jeezzzzus!! A least the weather held, big shower on Sat eve but the lads on the road run missed it all, all came back dry as a bone. Sunday was dry all day with a spit spot about 3 30. Had one Ward booked in but logistics,he was a stall holder as well, meant he couldn't get it there. Thanks to all who attended, had 220ish vehicles through the gate over the weekend. With the museum vehicles and l/h groups well over 250 on site overall. Had some spare stall space as somebody who was selling tents thought it was going to rain all weekend. Thanks once again to everybody for coming. Ivor
  8. Entrance prices are £7 for adults, £5 OAP and £3 for 16 and under. Current MVT members free showing your card. This price includes the museum entry fee aswell which is usually £6. Over 230 entries on the books, B of B flypast on Sat. Will take day visitors only on the gate if you have not booked in. Need some sun!!
  9. Good to meet you yesterday, we got home fine but had to stop for "petrol" and after sun cream!!!
  10. Yes, as it says you should have got an activator with your paint. Go back and get it from the supplier. 2K means 2 pack in laymans terms
  11. MVT members will get in free through the main gate on production of membership card. It must be an up to date membership.
  12. I think you are on the plan more or less in the same place
  13. I can confirm that BBMF is just Saturday this year but six merlins in one day makes up for it anytime. Not many spaces left now as we are close to capacity for entries, currently over 200 vehicles booked in of all eras. If you are still thinking about coming don't hang about because I will have to do the cut off soon. If you are coming as joe public and have a current MVT membership, bring your card as you will get in for nothing at the gate. Think it is 6 English pounds otherwise. Plenty going on apart from the flypast, evening entertainment for exhibitors only, R/C tank battles, road run Sat teatime for those that want a run out to another local airfield tower, 25lb er guns firing both days and a fair few stalls booked in already. Hope the weather gods are kind to us again this year. Checkout W&W website for entry form and pics of last years event.

  20. We could sell these all day, you wouldn't believe the amount of people who have asked us to make one for them. The MK2 is in my head and thats where it is staying!! Must apologise for the delay in posting these final pics if anybody was waiting, been very busy and tinterwebs been playing up.
  21. The idea came from Goeff who had a duck for years, he was moving house and had to sell because of space. He has been around the amphib scene for years and still wanted a "floater" so we used the duck as a base for the ideas. He told me what he was after and we made it up as we went along, sort of evolved. It is mot'ed and insured as a land rover. we get a river permit and launch at Naburn near York.
  22. Thats about it, modifications as we go along, monster overheating to start with but works fine now, and no we wont be doing another one!!
  23. First foot in the water, pretty effective power plant and me checking for leaks. There were 4 if you are interested!! Not bad for a 2 year on and off project.
  24. Prototype reversing arrangement, steering cables, epu and all the safety equipment. The jerry cans are full of sand for ballast.
