Strange bread in the Nether regions! Ron
-
It's actually the same part number for the G3 and G3L #CO-92-2 I guess they just left the rubber off during the shortages. I think the later G3L's had the one with the spoon shaped end. Ron

I was the same with my Welbike Steve. I kept all the ally and brass bits. But then I saw the light and it was a great release when I painted everything. 😀😀 Ron

I hate to say it Steve, but despite the lovely vapour blasted look, the cases should be painted Khaki. 🥴 Ron

I think it was Dave Plumb who overhauled it and my guess is that those bolts are just there to hold it together until it's put between the engine plates? Ron

Opening those new parts must have been like Christmas Lex! Ron

That's not fair! I've got some forks coming from New York. $240 shipping which included $15 for express delivery on the 3rd March and still not here??? Ron😕

Well if you're going to throw it away? I'll have it! 😏 Ron

I'd be interested! Ron

Rik is right. The front end with ally brake plate is pre-war heavyweight Triumph T90-T100-Speedtwin etc. The rubber mounted bars head steady, front gearbox mounting and rear mudguard are all correct. But I have no idea about the plunger rear and the hand change tank. Is it for sale? Ron

Yep 40 Euros per set. 👌Not that far for Pawel to ride over to him 🏍️Ron

That's what I like to see! Well done that man! Ron

But what's it for Lex? You didn't explain....Or did I miss that bit? Ron

What's the "Ball Glass Jar" about Lex? Ron

Pawel have you done some sort of tests on the castings? The ones I've seen and heard about are poor cast iron sand castings instead of cast steel. Would you believe I've even seen Triumph forks with the grease nipples cast in, because they didn't even remove them during the sand molding. Ron
PS Those are 3HW forks, .....your spring looks twisted?
-
I know they do Pawel. In computer guided operations and to proper standards. Not by a Wallah sitting in the sand banging stuff out on a rock. An awful lot of their workmanship is diabolical!! I pity the fool who risks his life on a set of their girder forks😣Ron

I had my misgivings when you said you'd ordered them from India, but it was too late to worn you. Even if they fit, is the spring steel up to the job. Other than maybe a headlamp or a risky toolbox, I would buy nothing from them. Ron

Cadmium or Dull chrome pawel. Tinning with solder makes a good substitute. Ron
