R Cubed painted the fuel tank and was going to fit it when I suggested that he should check it didn't leak (it looked like it had been dropped on one of the corners). Well he took my advice (for once!) and sadly it did have a leak :-o so the tank was emptied and washed out with water. I had to stand by on fire duty whilst he soldered (sp?) it back up. Fortuantly no explosions occurred and he refilled with fuel and all was good :-D.

OK as some of you may know Jack can't take his GMC now :cry: so if there is anyone who would like to share a lowloader going from Southampton/Portsmouth area (or of course anywhere from here to the Bolero site) then please let us (me or r cubed) know and we can se if we can help :-)

A good write up Richard. Yes R cubed was a (not sure I can type the word you called him) for bringing the space heater!!!! At least we dried our clothes and tent for a while, along with the rest of the field I think :-o which reminds me I must remind hubby the tent canvas is still in the back of the truck where it was chucked on Monday! Better get it out and dry before we go off to Bolero

thats one of the reasons I go to MV shows, r cubed promises me copious amounts of wine (ask R. Notton as I was spotted drinking wine by the pint at Overlord :-D) I think we should have a Ladies area when at shows with wine, wine, JD, wine, brandy,wine, chocolate and wine!

It was a good weekend, I was on the gate all day Saturday and a good and steady flow of MOPs came through. Unfortuantly the weather was not so good on Sunday but still a steady flow of public. Today well where do I start? Last night the mother of all storms hit us head on! :-o I thought the electricity cables were going to come down on the tent, or the Jimmy would slide through the mud and squash us, or simply that the wind would blow us over to Waterlooville! Happily none of the above happened, in fact both our boys slept through the whole thing! Obviously nothing could be done to retrieve the show today but I certainly spotted more MOPs around, so good on them! I have had a great weekend as usual at this show and will treasure my Fez forever (I was the one wearing pink wellies and shorts on Sunday!!!) Thanks to Richard Notton and crew for all the hard work you put in to put it all together. (More cheese gromit!) Thanks for the reply guys :-) Its as I thought, its ashame as they both really want to ride in the truck :oops: so fitting seat seems to be his next job. you might see him at Overlord adjusting the Jimmy you never know!

Where do we stand? Hubby doesn't like to take the kiddies out for long journeys in the Jimmy as there are obviously no seatbelts and he fears for their safety. Do any of you know the law regarding vehicles without seatbelts and children being allowed to sit in them? Many thanks in anticipation :-)

Sorry r cubed has not been posting much here, I have been pushing my thumb on his head again so he has been stuck inside for a while :police: I will let him out again soon.........promise!
