  1. We will be there (MMVG), a good show last time.
  2. Excellent pictures, I wouldn't mind one of those.
  3. Bumper stickers are just so wrong on a military vehicle!
  4. Be careful when dissmantling the unloader valve, a favourate is the spring siezes in the compressed position and only releases it's self when you have all the retaining bolts out. To overcome this problem wind the retaining bolts out but leave them on the body, give the valve a tap with a copper hammer, this should help. Hope you have it fixed soon.
  5. "Bedford shoulder" is good character building stuff, I find 6th gear the one to give you arm ache. I have my Bedford back on the road after it's tyre blowout, I know about time.
  6. Jack Its just got to be post war British. 3 Landrovers, 1 Bedford TM , 1 Armstrong and a quad, can we do trailers as well?
  7. Simon I'm quoting from the Bedford bible, I use EP 90 in my gearbox and transfer box. Hope that helps, did you get in contact with John.
  8. Hello SAE 90 above 0c or SAE 80 below 0c so the book says, for both main and transfer boxes.
  9. YES the crankshaft oil seal has been designed to leak from new, probably the oldest method of keeping the oil in that Bedford could find! buy the way mine leaks as well, just park it on the grass. Looks like you're having a success with the TM.
  10. The TM looks nice and straight, yes it's the GPMG mount on the roof, they appear sometimes on milweb. The "singing" clutch, after changing the release bearing three time and getting Borg and Beck technical involved it's the nature of the double clutch plate, most TMs clutches sound as if the release bearing is dry this is normal don't worry. I probably will not be at the Hop farm (to much hassle). I will try a couple of contacts for a copy of the manual. The tyre blowout, the pressures were correct and the tyre speed limit of 50mph was not exceeded, it could have been a tyre fault or a piece of debris in the road we will never know! Thats my rambelling finished.
  11. We started off with a 9x9 and now we have to carry all our kit on the back of an 8 tonne Bedford!
  12. Sean, flattery will get you nowhere, as for gear box parts try Ditton service centre near Maidstone in Kent 01732 847777. I believe Turners were taken over by Caterpillar at some point in the 90's. We had an interesting time on the way back from the Bunker show, the left hand rear tyre blewout in the Medway tunnel (in the middle as you would expect), a bigger bang than Lees pyrotechnics ! This bent the substantial rear mud guard and destroyed all the left rear lights, so we had to get the police to block the lane off while we changed the tyre, Oh what fun we had! Its all being put back together and should be ready hopefully for the Gunpowder mills.
  13. What a good job, now there's no excuse to stay at home.
  14. I had a ride in the back of one years ago, one of the most uncomfortable vehicles i have ever been in, it will shake out your fillings!
  15. Jack. I would guess the movement is about 10,000 but its dificult to guess as there are so many small groups. As for the MV movement growing, not sure, we have big problems recruiting people for the MMVG. Paul.
  16. Just a thought, would it be possible to put the various show dates on the calender?
  17. Which insurance company are you with ? Mine is due in June
  18. I have bought a couple of military bits from Canada no problems ( and not so parenoid)
  19. PM sent Anyone got any pictures
  20. Has anyone got any pictures / paint schemes on the Rapier B1 used in the Falklands conflict. Many thanks in advance, I want to get the painting correct on the Rapier for this year. Paul.
