  1. does anyone on this forum have this landrover as i have some paperwork for them that would increase the vehicles value by ?
  2. ok here is one set of rules but the set we will use is done with round balls instead of cheeses The skittles are about 15 cm high, cylindrical at the bottom but widening higher up then tapering to a shallow point, which leaves them slightly top heavy. Traditionally the skittles and the cheeses are made of English hardwood. The cheeses measure about 10cm across For each turn a player throws three balls at the skittles which start standing in the classic diamond pattern. If all the skittles are toppled after the first or second throws, they are reset and the player throws his remaining balls at the newly set skittles, adding his scores together. Theoretical a player might knock down all nine skittles with the first throw and do the same on their second throw, offering the possibility of the skittles being set up a third time for the final balle and a maximum theoretical score of 27 points. have the lads who are going to set up being issued with body armour this year and have life insurance policies given to them
  3. neil your thinking of cricket  distance stays the same all ages as balls can roll as slowly as anyone speed doesnt sometimes help so trying to throw as hard as you can can be a hindrance more than a help or trying to throw as a grenade will not work either
  4. the problem seems to be that most people don't seem to understand that the 11am-11-11 is a recognised time for all to remember the past this was because that was when the first world war ceasefire was declared but this time has become time to remember all service men who have died in all conflicts old and new i respect all ex serving and still serving members of all forces UK and otherwise as most are volunteers who decide to serve their countries at the risk of their lives :police: the Belgium people remember daily at the menin gate so the sacrifice of so many is never forgotten i guess most councils now are run by people who have never served and don't realise the comradeship felt by all ex members the only politicions that understand never seem to go far but those who have never served will always stand at the cenotaph and say look I'm hear

  7. if you've played ten pin bowling before its similar except smaller balls :-D9 skittles and a shorter alley but the london lads last year picked it up quickly and came near the top im resigning my title this year and will join a team :shocking: rules are simple you have three balls and you need to get at many skittles down as possible per turn  if teams then 5 people per team and trophy's will go to winning team and highest scoring player overall :dancinggirls: hope this helps

  14. one other choice is to contact the school at thetford to see if they are intersted as he joined there and his name is on the memorial the school would keep his name alive
  15. have just read the attack details again so the troops were between beugny and fremicourt quote:- Battalion moved to assembly positions, South of railway, between FREMICOURT & BEUGNY prior to attack on BEUGNY village and objective East of village so if you look at the map on page 5 you will see that very close together as for the exact position he died i dont think we would ever know as lines moved quickly my best advice as to where to place the stone would be to contact the church where he was christened and see if his stone could be laid to rest there or at the norfolks regiment museum where it would be given proper place of remberance along with all the information we have found out about him so all would know about this one soldier especially if we get a photo of him
