  1. yep, I know of at least 2 mk 3's, and there is even an original ex sas mk 2, owned by Ian Young.
  2. no, the one pictured above is not mine. It is 24 kd 50, mine is 24 kd 58. In 2000 parts of mine were still in service....... mine was scrapped on 2005, from where I got the bits, and used bits from other Pinkies and a Civvie V8 donor, to put it all back together, to what you see below....... ......from this...... http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c9/SAS1dinkie/DSCF0077.jpg[/img] http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c9/SAS1dinkie/DSCF0081.jpg[/img] http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c9/SAS1dinkie/underbody.jpg[/img] To this......... http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c9/SAS1dinkie/Samsung-FamilyPhotos052.jpg[/img]

  4. You may have competition? ;-) :-D
  5. That little series one that is following is an absolute peach. It rarely gets taken out, yet still starts on the button every time , wish our V8 ones behaved as well. Artists.... Back in your day, were those series 1's still about, I would have thougth it would have been the famous series 11a Pink Panther by then? ( which coincidently I enjoy driving the best!! :-D)
  6. No, not me mate The Military reg of mine is 24KD58, that is one that belongs to Mr Pocock. (he isnt the driver either). I n 2005 I was still the proud owner of a SAS Dinkie ( a version of the above based on the Land 90).
  7. Arrr, 24 KD 50...... What a fine looking beast :-D, not that I am biased in any way....

  11. I feel I may well be able to help here, given my current pinkie ownership status.... http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c9/SAS1dinkie/Samsung-FamilyPhotos052.jpg[/img] Which are you after, the early 11a pinkie or the later 110. I own a 110 version, and can put you in touch with someone that has a later modded version with the wimk fitted or the only other privatley owned 110's. I also know of the where abouts of 11 of the Series 11a pinkies and the ONLY 1 of 3 original seires 1 version that is currently in a good state (not Pink)....... located in Glostershire, Wiltshire, Northhampton, Hereford (NOT at Credenhill) and Yorkshire!!! (and myself in West Sussex) best to give me a tinkle if you are interested in these leads as I will be away from a PC in the next few days. I also know a bit about these machines and know people with stories!!! I restored min from a pile of bits....... and not quite yet finished!!!
  12. I think I have a pair of side pouches at home, and may even be able to lay my hands on a cheap bergan if interested (I am talking up to about anything up to £15......). I may even be able to get some cheap PLCE webbing as well if needed!! :-D
  13. Make sure you know where everything is, only get it out if you need it, and check everything is there before you move off. I like to chuck in a few mars bars as a bit extra. I put my sleeping bag in a bivvie, and do away with the compression sac, it is a lot easier and quicker to use the top part of the bergan as the compression sac and it tends to take up less space this way as it fillls all the little gaps and it tends to stop the annoying rattles. On top of this is my basha. If you have a good bivvy bag, a basha is very often not needed, I only put it up if it is teeming down to give me shelter when cooking and doing admin, or sentry..... I tend just to use the bivvy when sleeping. Ther are a few different ways to do it, experiment until you find a way that suits you.
