  1. You own 3 (!!!!), you have some deeeeeep pockets!
  2. Thanks greyhound, just the info I needed. We'll make it a service company vehicle of the sea tail
  3. Since we have a Dodge it kinda rules out any British divisions (although I thought about 43rd Wessex which "liberated" what was left of Arnhem in 1945) Then there were the American divisions none of the regular infantry division fought in the vicinity of Arnhem so on to the Paratroopers. Everybody knows the 101st Airborne especially 506sth PIR and a lot of vehicles are marked that way and I don't want to be like every other vehicle. That leaves the 82nd Airborne which landed at Nijmegen. The choice for 504 PIR was easy because they took the massive bridge at Grave and undertook the heroic river crossing across the Waal river, in broad daylight in full view of the Germans.
  4. My dodge is currently marked as 120 rgt / 30 inf div but I want to change that to 504th PIR / 82nd Airborne. Does anybody know which marking should go where on a Dodge WC 51? Pictures etc would be much appriciated!
  5. Lol, good luck! I've got 67 incidents waiting for me to solve and I'm all alone all morning
  6. Talk about a giant jig-saw puzzle Cool photos!
  7. Hi Protacman! Welcome aboard, can you post photos of your vehicle collection? Would be cool to see them!
  8. Yep, thats where all our restoration jobs have taken place Neighbours are not too bad, I think they have given up complaining  Mick. LOL I would not dare to keep my Dodge out on the street day and night. Do you have an shed somewhere or do you keep your vehicle out 24/7?
  9. Cool man! Are you going to do the whole restoration in front of your house?
  10. Yesterday we fixed the gearbox so the Dodge is running again!! I shot this Movie of the gearbox in operation.
  11. Keep us posted man, very interesting!
  12. The story of my ongoing gearbox restoration is now online, different stories will follow ofcourse.
  13. I've got a collapsable water bucket with my Dodge too but I don't think if I'll hang it from the tow hitch again

    Berchtesgaden

I visited Berchtesgaden twice the last two years and I can assure you it's worth it.
  15. It's not hard to see what the former owners used it for
  16. Thanks I'll start looking for EP90.
  17. Like I said, there are a lot of Off Topic forums so there might be something to merge. There is an entire forum called "The thoughts behind this forum" which has only one thread, this thread could be moved to a different forum and the forum removed. Perhaps have one category "Vehicles", in this category are all the different country forums. It makes it all a bit more easy to read, 15 forums is quite a lot.
  18. I know you're talking in your second tongue and you do very well at it, but for clarity when you say Forums do you mean threads, on this forum. We have the power to merge THREADS but not to merge with other FORUMS. They are run by other people. If you can be precise what it is you would like merged, we'll see what we can do. No it's not the number of threads, this is rather a quiet place if you look at it that way. It's the number of forums and categories that daunt me. I may be a newcomer to this website but I'm not new to using forums. It's just a question and if everybody thinks this setup is fine please leave it that way. I'll adapt to it.
  19. Would be cool! The only thing I ever saw (out of a museum) was a solid rust ball of barbed wire on the Verdun battlefields.
  20. What gearbox oil would you reccomend me? I've drained it all and I want to clean it up with parafine (sp?) and then put new oil in, but what to get? It's for a Dodge WC 51 but I think type does not matter much in this subject.
  21. How do you fix those holes, take out the panel and replace it or are there more ingenious ways?
