looks like a gmc ef240 to me . produced right through to the early 50`s , straight six engine 3 speed box , used by medical units and also the friends ambulance service , this unit was set up so conscientious objectors could do war work , i have some photos of them in Norway Sweden and in Europe. jonny loot -

7th Armored Tour in Holland
jonny loot replied to Jim Clark's topic in The meetings log and photobook
another point i think on the trip as a whole , this type of trip can only be organized, run and attended by like minded people , they must leave there gripes and moans at home .spending a holiday in the rain sleeping in a damp tent ,no hot water unless you boil some ,smelling` living and eating in a field is not for everyone ...all that said it draws a common bond out in you with all the others ,and that what makes the trip right ....one happy family and the friendship grows from that , at trip with focus, friendship and fun , vehicles history what more could you want , thanks to all that went talking point of the year for me jg -

Importing a WW2 vehicle from France
jonny loot replied to Hawk's question in I may be stupid, but......
you`ll not have a problem as France is part of the EU , assuming your using this for yourself and it`s a private transaction, buy it ,bring it back ,register it ,to register it in the uk there is a fee but this is made simpler if you have the french papers -

private message sent i do 900x16`s in 8 ply by speedway this is the bar grip pattern if you look at the photos above they are bottom to top in size order i also do 900x16 in 16 ply by hurcules they have the heavier side wall and a bit better for larger vehicles both have a flat bead edge and are ideal for US, British and Land Rover 101`s cheers jonny loot
