Some german vehicles at militracks Overloon last weekend ... !
Is the Luchs a Original one or a replica?
-
Will the replica be a flying example or for static display?

The skinned knuckles and frost bite will soon fade when you're out cruising with the cab canvas off.....well maybe, this is Britain after all...... so beware of the 2 gallons of collected rain water from the bed tilt coming under the cab sheet and down the back of the neck when you brake, ....Oh how we laughed :argh:... note to self always drain the bed tilt after standing in rain before pulling away
Pete
That has happened to allways all who drove a Weapons carrier.
Back in '99, I was at a MY rally driving without the top when I noticed a large puddle of muddy water and decided to speed up before driving through it.
The mud came up giving us a split second to realise we were stuffed.....:wow:
The mud went over the windscreen soaking us.
I stopped, got out, slipped on the muddy running board and fell next to the Dodge, laughing my bum off.
A guy who saw it happening appreciated that and we've been mates ever since.

The Jeep doesn't seem to have any markings at all.
-
Runs and looks well, with no issues, has required papers. Please PM or email me for pictures. Only serious enqueries, 38.000 Euros or best offer.
Don't forget to state the location of the halftrack.

Well done Rick.
Good to see it coming out of the ground.

Hi guys, just wanted to let you know that I have started an album for VW's in Army/RAF service. It isn't an interest of mine, but as I hunt for postwar British jeep photos I often come across images of them, and they seem quite a rarity, thought it was worth getting an album together.

The one with the tanks next to it is a very nice one.

I have one of the plastic 1:15 Tigers and liked it.
The one in the video is a serious toy by the looks of it.

Strangely I have tried the same experiment with an IR gun to measure temp on quite a few Military Vehicles and discovered that when the trucks are camo pattern they tend to take on the average temperature of the darkest color in the pattern. Will dig out photos of the test if anybody is interested.
Cheers Phil
Do post them, sounds interesting.

Thr Priest has a higher pulpit for the .50 gun.
I think that was a Post war German conversion?
It looks like a good museum with some rare items.

China
in MV Chatter
Guess its easy to verlook those who weren't in the spotlight so to speak.
But they did do important work.
-
Can't wait to see the result.
-
No worries Richard -
The story was about to break anyway.
I am looking forward to getting the Matilda to as many shows as I can next year.
It will be great to show an iconic WWII British piece of armour.
Markheliops
I look forward to seeing it up-close!!

I have a picture of a m24 on a beach in greece,I would post but it has 3 naked women on it!
:cool2:
Ok, I'll get me coat.
-
From junk to gem comes to mind.
Well done.
-
I thought you would know who I meant ....... where is he, sweeping the shed out ready for Matilda's arrival?
He told me and my brother a long time ago and told me not to disclose to anyone. I am pleased he trusted us to keep quiet.
Haven't told anyone as instructed, not even my mates.
So I won't say any more here until he spills the beans himself.
-
I've been looking forward for this for a while now (No its not mine offcourse).
-
Its nearing its completion.
Looking forward to see it driving around.
Well done on the work so far.

BBC advise training tunnels for WW1 found on Salisbury Plains
Amazing find.
-
The Maultier has no engine or transmission, OK, but the estimate of 40-50 000 sounds low to me.
-
You have a lot to do, so get back at it.
Good luck with the project.

I tried booking but get;
404 not found. Or similar eroors.
Anyone else get this problem?
Is it still possible to book by sending a form through the mail?
It seems to work now.
-
would you -add- rust to your own vehicle?
I mentioned it because a winch cable gets rusty easily.
Just a small detail.
