  5. evening , there are several ways to adjust. if you have had the panels and the panel that mounts the gear selector off it is quite possible it hasnt been refitted correctly so might be best to remove and check adjustment on the throttle connecting rods that are located below gear selector (sometimes these can get bent during removal or refiting )restart engine with panels off (reconect gear selector lead else it wont start) set revs to about 500 -600 rpm. When panels are refited revs can then be adjusted with hand throttle located next to engine oil filler . If this does not solve it then you can adjust tick over on the pump on the throttle arm stop but if the vehicle was ok before changing fuse then this should'nt of changed hope this helps Iain
  6. i do agree that sherman prices whole or spares has gone up but this does reflect the market $375.000 is abit steep but as pointed out it is a pretty closed market in the states and if a collector wants one bad enough that will be the price that is paid or near as damn it . i wonder what the next one in this countries price tag will be ?
  7. If you have a bare hull £10.000 for the engine is nothing compared to finding buying all the other parts . if you can find a sherman engine for less than £10.000 at the moment then please feel free to share it with us in fact just p.m me might be a better idea as i'm sure the rest of the sherman owners on here would'nt be interested just my 5 pence worth Iain

  10. i've been expecting you mr barrell spot on its a wickham trolley it would have a cut out of a tank or other target and then travel acros the range the when it reaches the other side a lever trips under neath and it reveses the drive and back it heads to be shot at again . Its powered by a lovely little J.A.P 2 cylinder engine which i believe does run but we havent tried it yet.

  17. some progrees on the pig , added a battery and jerry rigged a fuel supply and a clean of plugs she fired up nicely Joe the lad holding the bottle, his family is northern irish and he remarked "do you really trust me with a bottle of petrol around a pig " Next she was needle gunned and i set to work remaking the wings as they were far to rotten to be saved this was a good one . Don't think the wings have come out to bad as i have no folders etc they were all cut and folded by hand and hammers. still got the rear wings to make but they will be fitted at a later date . Next a coat of the old red lead Brake master cylinder is awaiting a seal kit and carb has been refurbed hopefully test run next week . Thanks for looking Iain
