  1. Diamond T's are a heavenly truck, but if you have the original hercules engine it may hurt the pocket a bit in fuel consumption Jack. If money was no object and I had a giant shed I'd get one. But things are not like that...unfortunately  Mick.
  2. Agghhh! I'm scared! I'll have to escape in my Ferret, have a few potshots at you with the Bren!   Mick.
  3. That Mack is bloody massive! Mick.
  4. Looks good neil, I think six grand is a fair price. Mick.
  5. Dear god Jack, That looks fantastic! And I see that canvas finishes it off nicely.... Mick.
  6. Hi richard, that would actually be quite easy, I've got some white emulsion in the shed..... mick.
  7. Hi all, I may be stupid, but... on the subject of UN vehicles in Richards post, was there any Mk 1/2 Ferrets used by the UN? All of the photos I have seen all feature 2/3's. Mick.
  8. Hi all, Chris I'm sorry you are correct, As soon as I heard your surname I recognised you straight away, the tyres on the early ferret threw me as I just presumed it was your one. Regards Mick.
  9. Hi all, Sorry about that alien ftm I got mixed up, safariswing I bought a sterling mount off that guy with the early ferret, I think his name is chris, mine could have possibly been in the same batch. Mick.
  10. Hi all, Well thats quite odd you should say that alien ftm because the vehicles history said it served with the 14/20th Kings Hussars, the 17/ 21st Lancers sticker was just stuck on there when it was being restored to make it 'look good, in the history it doesn't say anything about serving with the 15/19H, but yes it certainly is an early example because the plate inside says it was on contract 4267 which was ordered in 1951 I believe, she went into army service on the 4th of March 1954 and stayed in Hong Kong until 1972. But then again, it served with the royal horse guards for a while and could have possibly been to the Gulf in 1991. 1978 hmm.. have to check the History. P.s Steve sure you can meet up with us at wimpole. Mick.
  11. I see that lovely canvas seems to be keeping the rain off... 8) Mick
  12. Hi all, clap,clap,clap... well done jack, looking good. Mick.
  13. Hello, I only realised when the brother in law said. It was on saturday night they went forward. mick
  14. Ah.. now that changes everything. forgot about that....(how could I) Mick.
  15. Hello, Probably too far for Richard but Clophill village fete is on the 17th June, they said they wanted more people to come and they want to make the show bigger and better, so perhaps we could do a TEAM run there? Over the last few years I can remember it not being that brilliant, but who knows, it could have expanded and got better. I'll contact the guy if you're willing to go. Mick
  16. Jack put the clocks forward on here, I've only just noticed it. :? Mick.
  17. Hi Neil, I would probably drive much further than my usual 40 miles radius if I was staying at the show over the weekend, if it's just a steam rally or small MV show i'll stick to my usual 40 miles, I've only just bought a custom trike and I'm not sure how far i'll travel on that. Haven't done any shows with that so can't wait for the show season to come. I've had a few problems with it over the past few weeks so I think I need to learn to trust it and be sure it won't break down before I will do any long-distance runs. P.S Please do not kill me for mentioning something that is not military. Mick.
  18. Hi jack, At least it gives you something to look forward to, getting rid of the red at last.... Mick.
  19. Hello, Yes they could have done the same as in Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers, just took another vehicle and disguised it, it only looks good when it is done properly though. I think they done a good job on saving private ryan but the most obvious thing you spot is the 'tigers' track shape. In B of B the Stug was actually a 432, I didn't spot it at first but when I took a closer look I saw that the gun mantlet was slightly different and of course the tracks. Mick[/u][/url]
  20. How about Battle of the Bulge? All the 'King Tigers' are Patton tanks. Mick
  21. Hey Jack, proud to be of a help to you. 8) mick
  22. Well Done Jack. Always nice to hear that motor. Good luck with the rest of the project. Mick
  23. Hi all, Wow! Thats going to look pretty good! I don't care what speed we go either, Richard on the A1198 I don't think you'll have a problem towing, there isn't any tight turns so nothing to worry about. Mick.
