Morning all. After listening to my mother going on about all the good work our boys and girls of the Armed Forces do for our country and the amount of generosity and charitable work you guys an girls give to this amazing charity my mothers boss has decided that he will be running the Brighton Marathon in aid of H4H. A message from Greg I'm running another marathon this time down in Brighton and this time I'm doing it for Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country. The charity was set up in 2007 out of a desire to help the wounded Servicemen and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The message of the charity is simple: They are strictly non political and non critical, they simple want to help. Anyone who serves in a time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero!. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences of their service for life. I think you will admit that this is a fantastic cause and however much you can spare would be very much appreciated. On September 15th, the Tirpitz was attacked by Lancaster bombers. One bomb hit her and peeled back her deck. She was now no longer seaworthy and it was decided to send the ship to be anchored off of Haakoy Island, three miles from Tromsö where she would operate as a floating fortress. On November 12th, 1944, the Tirpitz was attacked by 29 Lancaster's - including some from 617 Dambuster Squadron. Flying at 14,000 feet, their new Mark XIV bombsight gave them an excellent target to aim at. 'Blockbuster' bombs ripped into the ship and a 100 feet hole was ripped open. Her magazines exploded and the Tirpitz rolled over trapping over 1000 men in her as she turned turtle. A few - 80 men - managed to get to the bottom of the hull where a hole was cut through it and the men escaped. Many others were not so lucky. Though the career of the Tirpitz may have seemed a failure, she did succeed in tying up a great number of Home Fleet ships which had to be on a constant alert that she would not sail out into the Atlantic or harass the Artic convoys. Just reporting what i heard on the news. Wouldn't be the first time thats wrong! I didn't think it sounded plausible since I'm sure I saw on the discovery channel not long ago there was a program about the M1A1 saying they all get refurbed no matter how fecked they are unless like you said they are blown to bits. You're wrong! I did have Payed for Macfee installed and the virus deliberately attacked that before attacking the windows program Avast home addition is free and is s++t hot. It cleaned my infected comp and got it working perfect again. It also warns you when you may be going on to a site which is known to have malware and the like. I use my comp for P2P file sharing and we know how many virus's lurk on them things and i've never had one virus come through. You can also do a boot scan with it. I recommend it. PS i work in no way for Advast even tho that does look like a Sales Pitch :-D Eddie
