  1. Hi Wally - you are always welcome to but in The side rails I have are The "U" section on mine is about 1.125" wide and deep and would accommodate a 0.75" board Also one has at support bracket on it. Wally - any use to you (Free of Charge of course) "goanna" will PM you some more photos, also happy to take more measurements if you need
  2. Started on tyre fitting .... one done, four to go. Need to get them done and fitted so I can move the truck into a position to do the welding on the rear. Dividing rim nuts will be painted red
  3. Mine is a later model with "flat sided" tank, so doesn't have these boards. I was given part of a side rail from an earlier model, I will measure this up let you know the dimensions
  4. Thanks Wally, I thought that was the case, just wanted to make sure Andy - Inner tubes from Duncan Smith (ToTec Tyres), they are heavy duty ones Cheers Richard
  5. Hi Just got some inner tubes for British 16" rims (tyres will be 900x16) The valve is a long reach type, at the base of this is a nut and a washer. How are they used, or are they discarded ? Cheers Richard
  6. Simon - thanks for the info Made up a useful tool today - rear hub nut wrench out of some old pipe (does the job perectly on both sizes) bit more woodwork (side panel frames) Just need to find the actual width of the rear of the cab and are the cabe sides parallel ?
  7. Highly tempting... It would be nice to know exactly what the colours were
  8. Bit of trial fitting of cab woodwork templates (will be making them in Ash in due course) Also link to film with some early MWC's in it (thanks to John Corden) , one with a very interesting camoflage https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/1060033073
  9. Not sure what you are doing with your cylinder head..... If you are having the inlet/exhaust manifold side skimmed, make sure that the small recess in the 3 inlet ports are re-done. If you dont do this, then the sleeves in the inlet manifold may not seat properly in the blocks. Theworst case is that the inlet manifold may crack when the retaining bolts are tightened up as there will be a leverage points each of the 3 inlet ports My cylinder head will be dropped off on Monday for skimming, exhaust valve guide replacement, valves re-ground in etc. Will let you know how this goes...
  10. Steady progress Started Welding... And started cab woodwork...
  11. Looking Good.... On mine, the " exhaust flap thingy"[exhaust thermostat] has been removed, I was led to believe that this was later engine mod as many got stuck in one position, and was not reliable.. I assume the new bits came from Chris Morter Not sure if to re-instate mine or not
  12. Hi I think that this has been cancelled got an e-mail from MWSVehicles <vehicles@militaryworldshow.com> which said Dear Vehicle Owner, Thank you for booking into the Military World Show 2018, however Military World have to unfortunately cancel the 2018 show at Abingdon Airfield. This being an MOD site, is required for MOD purposes and therefore we are unable to make use of the site & our quick search to find another location has not proven fruitful for 2018, therefore the decision has been made to cancel the 2018 show. We are continuing to locate another suitable site and once we have located a suitable site and identified a suitable location we will advise you accordingly. Wishing you all the best for the forthcoming show season. .... Shame, the one he ran at Beltring 2 years ago was very good

  23. Hi As said above the edition only relates to Rob Vanmeel's book His latest "edition" is No.5 and this also only lists up to L6277385 Information on numbers above this would be very useful to many people. Also any information on how the wartime (16xxxxx) rebuild numbers were allocated would be useful. Cheers Richard
