Hi Been searching through my in-service photos, the best I can come up with is this Jerry can holder ? Also just noticed, the dexion racking is quite different Cheers Richard
-
Hi - Not to hand, will post one later in the week, but this is the type I have (never seen one with legs on before) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195905929538 Cheers Richard

Hi - don't know if it was fitted when in service (spent all its service life in Northern Ireland), when I restored it, there were 'witness marks' to show that a bracket had been fitted there at some point. The jerry can holder mounting holes align perfectly with the holes in the 'rear bulkhead' so that is why I fitted one. Cheers Richard

Hi I have one of these in my Rover8... Also can't find the part number in any of mine either, but the clamping bracket that holds the Jerry can in place does have a part number 333464 see https://www.seriesparts.co.uk/PartDetail?stockid=287 I use it for water as I have a slight leak in my radiator Cheers Richard

restoration Bedford MW restoration project 2012/2013
64EK26 replied to Danny P's topic in Blogs of MV restorations
Hi Danny They supply two types of loom BF23c This is for early MW's with the early instrument panel (i.e. separate oil pressure and ammeter Fig.1) BF14c This is for later MW's (like yours) with the later instrument panel (i.e. combined oil pressure and ammeter in one instrument Fig.2) Trafficators are the same as indicators - best to have this option - you will need to fit an indicator switch and relay The only other mod I would get them to do is to add an additional headlight wire so that the dip/main switch can be used like in modern vehicles (the original dip/main just switched between headlights. This is what the BF14c wiring conforms to What you want is I went through a lot of trouble to get the loom correct and have told Autosparks many times to amend their website but they tale no notice. Feel free to PM me if you want more detailed information Cheers Richard -

Hi Chassis number will be MWR44502 Contract V4714, this was for 1700 Wireless Trucks (MWR), contract was let on 29th August 1941, first deliveries were on 24th October 1942. Yours was the 904th vehicle produced under that contract and was delivered in late Feb 1943 As Wally says, there is very little chance of getting its war time history Cheers Richard -

Hi Olive Drab paint code is BS381C 298 Olive drab from different suppliers does come out slightly different colours, there will also be slight variations in colour depending how the paint is applied brush/spray. The colour also changes with age. I use a semi-gloss from Express Paints in Portsmouth The only other recommendation I would make is buy sufficient paint to do the whole job Hope this helps Cheers Richard
