No idea, but Andrew you leading yourself up the garden path on this line of thinking. There are weapons system in service today that perform the role proposed for these jet powered balls.

It existed but was not adopted. In fact two countries worked on similar ideas. This one had maximum speed of 500 feet per second, with an internal temperature of 3500 deg F producing 1200 psi at the jets allowing a turn of 400 deg per sec. I can't seem to find dimensions, but on the basis of certain structures its diameter would be about 2 ft. So what more can I say? I've really given it away now :whistle:
