It looks as though they could be in a hanger, don't know anything about the equipment, are they testing it prior to installation

About 06:15 this morning I saw what I think was a Land Rover 101 Y registration heading south onto the Forth Bridge, does any one know anything about this one and is it based locally, unfortunately due to traffic and the road works couldn't get a good look.

I went to get a dry powder fire extinguisher serviced following a discharge, the company advised that the dry powder are being phased out, has any one else heard this?

Is this linked to 1 post having duplicate photographs showing?

That video reminds me of the series abandoned engineering where they built one in the 1920's across the desert, I think it was near San Diago

Check the pulleys for damage, if there is a chunk broken out of a sheave it could be causing the damage. Crank pulley possibly as you can't see it well and might have gone unnoticed.
Richard, now you have said it can see the point, suppose to close to the issue and not thinking.
Any other suggestions would help as well

Guys
I have checked alignment of the fan belts and can find that they are in alignment, the fan belt is fraom a reputable manufacturer.
Any ideas why the belt will shred before 1,000 miles?
Thanks in advance for a mechanical idiot

They say there is a stable sand layer at about 5 meters depth. In that region of holland they put wooden or concrecte pilons in on that they build the houses fundations. Amsterdam for exemple is said to be build on thousands of pine trees...
For the house i don't know it's about 250km from here so i won't go have a look
Interesting, I know of an old castle which is supposedly built on reeds bound together, also heard that some of the Victorian railways were built on the same method

This would be my main question, what constitutes a load?
In literal terms of the law even a bag with your sandwich and crisps in it could be considered the vehicle to be laden.
Would a cargo/troop carrier be legal with people in the back but say a wrecker not?
That question could be interpreted differently by different police forces

Not sure but the axle is there any thing on it or does it run straight through?
My first thought is it looks like a fly wheel

I have Private Pilots Licences and had to learn about engines, also used to make Airfix model planes one of which was a wellington, I have seen and been in Barnes Wallis original office who originally designed the beast.

Sorry I can not give more help hopefully some one else can.
A thought have you tried Duxford?

Looking at the size I don't think the diameter is large enough, maybe a fighter? Not sure but it looks as though you could alter the pitch of the blade as well

I thought this question was suggesting that the friendly members on here might have a look on behalf of the non-attendee and buy items for them in the same way the rich and famous have professional buyers to go and get their daily essentials. But in the MV world that's what your mates are for!
Good point, never took a thought that way, brain still needs to start working
-
Not really.
Some sellers may be only operating on a very small basis & have no interest in providing a postal service let alone a stock list.
Those who are geared up to a postal service are likely to be found in the trader's section of http://www.milweb.net/dealers.php
Then if you click on the sort of vehicles that interest you on the column on the left it will display those dealers with an interest in those vehicles.
But even at the biggest of shows if you are looking for sellers of British vehicle bits, other than Land Rovers, any list would be very short.
Many thanks

Would it help for people who cannot get to shows to get a list of sellers and what they specialise in so none attenders can try and get missing parts?

What has happened with this Covenanter dig?
I am surprised this thread has not been looked at in a while.
Yes I have wondered but due to the practicalities of not only access to site but volunteers was happy to wait
