  12. hi , would like to know the the standard size of the conrod journal , reason, looking at replacing the shell bearings , plate on the block says -0.040 but i would like to be sure, things could have over the years , the shells have a part number and this all , and where could i get some shells from at a reasonable price , thank for you help , regards Pete ps , still looking for a ql 28hp block or complete engine to rebuild ,

  16. just wondering if anyone has fitted a different engine in a ql , if so what engine , reason so i can rebuild the original engine which would take time and save for later, basically the same as the morris / land rover engine swop , if anyone can help look forward to your info , pete

    hi , trying to get hold of the pressed out steel bedford grill badge the one thats fitted just under the radiator filler cap on the outside of the cab it must be the QL one not the newer ones , Pete

  23. hello Richard , thank for your  information of getting a carb kit for my qlr , i have sent an email to them , hopefully should hear from them soon , i wonder if you read my thing about the grease for my ql  and what do thing about it please ,  regards  Peter

      Hi Peter,

      I vaguely recollect a question on grease, was it for wheel bearings? Just use a normal motor grease suitable for wheel bearings, a motor factors will put you right.

      I might struggle to find your post about it, if it was grease for something else please let me know.

      You are the owner of a very good lorry, I have had mine for 30 years and love it.
