  1. Happy Christmas everyone😁
  2. Another confusing area as DVLA/VOSA are advising that you can't register the vehicle because it is post 1982 and does not meet type approval, yet on the website it states that if the vehicle is over 25 years old it is exempt from type approval. I'm lost!!!
  3. Hi did you get any more info on this or did you hit a brick wall ? i'm sure that i read that type approval was not required for vehicles over 25 years of age, and above a certain wieght
  4. Hi Timbo they must have been the same ones as they were coming from the M1 direction.
  5. 3 tank transporters at A5/A43 roundabout Towcester today, very impressive sight, even though they were unladen.
  6. The problem I find with sites like milweb are that the sellers do not have to mark the items as sold, so you can end up chasing things that have already been sold
  7. Hi all My wife brought me a military vehicle driving day for my 50th birthday. I would just like to say thanks to the people at Armourgeddon for making it such a good day, I got to drive a FV432, BedfordMJ, and a BV206 Haggland all the staff were very professional and welcoming, and many thanks to my wife Heather for organising it all. second photo driving hatch down, not so easy
  8. The DVLA must be in top gear at the moment, I sent my HGV renewal to them on September 6 and received it back today!

    Reo M35 A2

I am also looking for a M35 at the moment, the main things that i will be checking for are: Inside of wheels for wetness, as this could mean the axle seals are leaking or even worse brake cylinders. Master cylinder fluid level. Please be aware these trucks have a single circuit braking system a small leek could lead to no brakes Tyres, for cracking and wear. Check all other fluids, oil water, when checking oil make sure it doesn't look to thin and smell of fuel, these trucks sometimes leak fuel into the sump through the fuel density compensator. Engine running for leaks especially around head gasket area and turbo charger. General condition of vehicle e.g. bodywork, lights, glass, canvas an so on. Good look with your search
  13. AVG paid version for me works really well doesn't slow your computer down
  14. Under closer inspection of the photo i'm not sure about the air filter, so i agree with Gordon M123
  15. Looks like a post war M series truck to me, might be a M54 or the bigger M123, it also looks like it has the air filter on the right side fender (wing) so not a later cummins engined 800 series truck
  16. Going through Dunchurch this morning sand coloured cvrt scimitar, possibly one of Andrew Bakers collection.
  17. Good looking truck you have got there and for a good price, from what i have read in the technical manuals for M-series trucks they have got a small vent cap on top of each axle that needs to be kept clear or pressure can build up in the axles and contribute to seal failure. There should also be a serial number stamped on the frame rail behind one of the front wheels probably under many layers of paint (sorry can't remember which side) that may help you date the truck Hope this helps
  18. Hi Steve there is a storage yard between Weedon and Daventry on the A45 that has been advertising space just recently, not sure if there is covered storage or just open. unfortunatley i haven"t got a phone number for you but i think it is posted on a sign on the fence of the yard. I think the yard is owned by a roofing company from Weedon called New Roofing. Hope you can get a lead from this, if not i will try and get the number for you when i go past all the best mark
  19. Hi Dan i have been checking daily for the results on Withams web site for a couple of weeks now with no luck. It won't be long before the next sale so i don't think they will publish them now.
  20. I went on the sunday what a great show, well worth the entrance fee plenty to see on the ground and in the air, even the weather was great. My only gripe was that we could only find two disabled toilets on site and with my son being disabled made it a bit awkward ( but didn't spoil our day ) anyway well done to the organisers for a great show and can they arrange for the same weather next time :-D
  21. Hi Richard welcom to the forum, Heather and myself called in at your dads on sunday to see your Matador, looks really good. Hopefully you will be able to find the parts and gain some info from the very knowledgeable people on this site to get her finished.
  22. What i think was a U.S. M10 or M332 ammunition trailer, Looked like it had a recent paint job being towed by a modern pick-up 4x4 in Daventry Northants at about 16:30 today. Anyone on here ?
  23. Hi deadline, it does state in the ebay listing as "Multi-fuel only" but i'm sure your idea of ordering them from the U.S is probably the better option, just trying to help out a fellow forum member
