R Cubed
Hi all, back from Holland with my tents :shake: :shake: Now I have a green tent to go with all the other green stuff like my truck, generator and party size cooker.................. Got round to putting them up yesterday in the garden, now bearing in mind these are US type G.P. Medium ridge tents 16' x 32' ( any one who was at Bolero this was the the main assembly tent, yes the big green one !!!! ) Well I bought 2 as I was told the best one was badly ripped and I could use the worst one to use as patches, so as the person was selling 2 I bought 2, errrr the sort of offer that is too good to be true. So yesterday draged out what seemed to be enough canvas to cover a football pitch and started putting it up, after about 40mins of heaving and pulling we had it in a sort of up position and yes there was a bigish rip in the roof about 4"X4" so not bad I thought. Packed that away and did the same with the other, thinking that this was going to be rearly ripped to bits, well it seems that this one was even better than the first one, no rips at all will have to try them out to see if they leak, time will tell, so it now looks like I have 2 G.P. Medium tents so maybe one for sleeping in and one for cooking and living in, who knows might even keep the truck in it ;-)
