basadler
Hello my name is Bruce and I live in Evansville, Indiana. I have some 240 pictures that my father brought home after the war. The picture were taken by a number of German war correspondents(pk) such as Walter Henisch. Some of the pictures have German text on the which give the date name of town on the back. I would like help in identifying some of the officers and any thing else about the photo. If you would like to read some of the articles about the photos please Google "Bruce Sadler Dachau". The last article to come out was in the French News Online which will have a link to view the pictures on Flickr.

Tony B
Any idea of dates and places? Some troops are carrying Bergman MP18. This design was later issued to the RN as the Lanchester SMG. This would suggest 1920's perhaps very early 1930's or garrison troops, production stopped in the 1920's. Some retention of SMG's by Germany was allowed under the Versaillies treaty, but they seem to have been more for a Policing role
