terryo
Hi , I have recently brought a 1994 defender 110 GS and I was looking behind the drivers seat and I found a mystery box and was wondering what it was for ? Hope someone can shed a bit of light on it , thank you , Terry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Starfire
It looks like power distribution for the Clansman series of radios. Was the vehicle FFR/24v? Cheers, Terry
johnhughes
definately Clansman PDB, can be fitted to 12 and 24v vehicles as its a single outlet type its probably on a 12v vehicle.24v wagons normally had the 3 outlet type or multiples of. j
terryo
Oh ok , it's only a 12v , it has wing boxes and a side aerial mount and the wiring from the box runs down the drivers side to somewhere behind the rear lights , is it possible it could have had any radio equipment fitted ? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
g0ozs
Terry Probably it powered a 12V DCCU to float charge a RT320 or RT352 clip-in manpack which would be the most obvious thing to use wing boxes and a side antenna mount in a 12V landrover Regards Iain
