On some of the Cromwell's I've seen in museum's there has been a mesh grill covering the louvres on the back of the tank, obviously to stop detritus from being sucked, or falling, into the engine. Were these kept in place when the Normandy Cowl was fitted or did they do away with them in lieu of the Normandy Cowl?
