question Replacement Tyres - 1200 x 20

Hi All,

 

It looks like I'm in a bit of a bind with my Saracen and need some replacement tyres. It currently has the Dunlop TrakGrip 1200 x 20 HS2 RF on it, but the sidewalls are starting to crack up and now that one needs a new tube, the tyre places are refusing to fix it due to the cracking.

 

Does anyone know where I can get some replacements? Ideally, I'd like to stick with the correct HS2 RFs but given that I can't seem to find anything even in the right size, let alone make/model in the country, I guess that I'll have to take what I can get.

Does anybody have some suggestions? Surely all the Saracen/Saladin/Stalwart owners have to do something about new tyres? I'm open to the idea of importing some from anywhere that they're available.

Hi Terry

Tim Vibert had some a few months ago - don't know if he still does. They are/were the correct pattern.

You could also look at http://www.modsurplus.co.uk/index.php?option=com_joodb&view=article&joobase=10&id=32886&Itemid=129. They are straight bar treads and not RF so not the same tread as the Trak grips.
