Bodge Deep
Going back though this one again at the moment. Highlights the MASSIVE amount of training that went into getting a bomber crew into the air... with a very short life expectancy... the terrible waste. Snapper
Is this an Ambrose book? He was rattling them out towards the end.
Bodge Deep
Yes... I don't know if was an early one or a late one. It seems to have a slightly different style to the rest... fewer first hand accounts and more narrative.
Spood
Interesting enough but a bit stilted I thought (just had a re-read) he has definitely written better. Anybody read Half a Wing, Three Engines and a Prayer, haven't read it for a while but as I recall, not a bad book at all. Don
