MHillyard
This was a cheap buy at W&P a couple of years ago. It looks to be a wartime type but i dont know if it is a postwar Greek jacket. I am not sure if the white spot is original or just added later, my guess is later. it has had plenty of repairs done in its life. I believe the spot is for pows
HeathJr
Well it's definitely not greek as they only had one clasp at the neck not two. It could possibly be a war time issue 1940 pattern blouse. Not entirely sure about the spot though.
Scotch Harry
110% not Greek, possibly US War Aid due to the fact it had 2 labels????
wdbikemad
It is indeed a US manufactured War-Aid BD Blouse for the British - "Blouses, Battledress, OD, WA"...........two labels were fitted....the standard US QM label and the British style Ordnance one...... These blouses were a combination of 37 pattern and wartime economy pattern (eg - fly-fronted but no pocket pleats, etc) and were made in a good quality "melton" woollen serge of a distinct brown-olive shade.....they were very popular and most supplies appear to have arrived in the Italian and Med theatres.....
