malyutkaman
There's a couple of things I would of some differently if I were to buy a BRDM again. First I would want to see the vehicle through in person and not rely upon an in between. Secondly I would want to confirm the equipment and parts included in the sale. Otherwise it is important to confirm everyting you want out of the deal in a contract. Consider if you want to have the vehicle serviced and registered on the roads or want to have the vehicle repainted. As it is I love my BRDM and think its simply an awesome vehicle +1 on the contract issue. I would be happy with a lesser vehicle that came with a bunch of parts then one that looked better but came with nothing.
BRDM Driver
Beware of units that 'look' nice because they have been blown over with paint - sometimes inside too! My vehicle looks tatty as hell outside as the Czech paint is peeling off, but mechanically seems as good as new. I had loads of original kit inside - first aid kit, all the tools, spare fuses, even the portable launcher and sight. I read that you have to be really careful of starting old vehicles that have been stood in a yard for years without an oil change too. There are a good few nooks and crannies that will collect water, despite haveing the drain cocks open, so take a load of paper towel or a suction pump to drain the wet bits so you can see if there's any serious corrosion or misterious 'lost' nuts and bolts. There are covers on the wheel hubs so you can easily check the brake shoes. The whole transmission is easy to see from inside.

fadedsun
How much is a reputable seller in the UK selling them for in decent, running shape?
