Toolman
Hello guys I've had this for years, please can anyone tell me more about it and what it was attached to? It's got cracking optics and I use it quite regularly, not much magnification but an extermely wide angle. Telescope Bearing No.8 Mk 1. Dated 1943. It's equipped with a bulb which presumably illuminated the cross-hairs. and obviously was designed to rotate on it's mounting. Adrian Barrell
I think it is from a director for anti aircraft fire. There was a pair of elbow telescopes, one controlling elevation and one bearing.
