Ford Laat
Hi All My names Alan just a quick intro to me and my dilemma with a pair of Canadian built Fords that are bofors tractors that i purchased about four years ago. Having gone to loads of shows with my 2A lightweight if was offered these two fords that had been stood for years with a view to getting one back on the road. My biggest mistake being i didn't consult the wife and took a loan to buy the trucks ( now paid ) and this is where the problem lies as she wont talk about or have anything to do with them. This is making restoration difficult to say the least but not impossible any ideas ? Anyway i just thought i'd join the forum for some insperation hopefully ! Ivor Ramsden
Whatever you do, keep the LAATs! I'm into LAA stuff and it's good to find somebody else. This is the right place for inspiration and help with your restorations. Maybe somebody on here will even come up with some ideas for getting your wife on board too. The Maple Leaf Up forum's good for CMP stuff - http://mapleleafup.org/forums/index.php Good luck, and let's see some photos! The wife is not opposed to me having military vehicles just these two as i went over her head buying them i think.

The rules are simple, never borrow money on a depreciating asset, but as the loan is now paid off, these fine assets will now appreciate, you are now the sort of canny investor any upwardly mobile wife should be proud of......looking forward to the resto blog.
