SASDom Posted April 4, 2010 Share Posted April 4, 2010 Hi All : Just thought I'd add these Pictures of a WW2 Australian Army Training Area . Situated in Light Scrub : The area which is quite large is full of Trench works , Fox Holes , Gun Pits , Barbed wire Entanglements etc : The 2 Pictures show ; Grenade Training Pit with Blast Walls & Firing Range Concrete Butts . There are Lots of stuff lying around on the Ground . Such as Grenade Base Plugs / Levers , Motar Bombs , Piat Bombs , Spent 303 Shell Cases , Metal Ammunition Boxes . SASDom Posted April 29, 2010 Author Share Posted April 29, 2010 Hi Barry : This area is about a 2 hour drive from Melbourne : I can not give the precise location , as the sight has not been properly documented or any of the dangerous ordanance removed yet .
