Mark Gaskell
We are re running our recent wartime weekend event again next year on the 5th & 6th August 2006 and are looking for as many HMV to attend. We had a lot of support from our loval MVT group but are now trying to encourage vehicles from further afield to attend for 2006. Whe hope to bring the Sherman & Tiger Replica back again. A website will be appearing shortly with further info, photos of this years event can be found at http://www.rafmillom.co.uk/Gallery1/index.htm and this years website at http://www.rafmillom.co.uk/event
Jack
Nice work Mark. Make sure that you keep us all up to date on this as it will give people enough notice to hopefully get involved. Judging by the pictures it looks a really good event. Cheers Jack.
Mark Gaskell
Dear All It comes with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of "Operation Bombard 2" 2006 - 5th & 6th August 2006. This decision has come about from a lack of sponsorship for the event, we had managed to get commitment for everything we needed including the use of a new site with better facilities etc, however we required a certain amount of underwriting of the costs to make the event viable in this we have been unsuccessful. So once again the museum wishes to thank everyone for their support past and future. However we are organising a Living History Weekend to tie in with our annual Veterans Reunion, you will all be more than welcome to attend in form you wish and mount a static display for the visitors and veterans a like, a small event was held last year and was felt to be a success, there will be once again evening entertainment by DJ Hepcat Mike. The event will be held on the weekend of the 2nd & 3rd September 2006.
