American Federal Standard Colours:-
http://www.e-paint.co.uk/Federal_standard_595_colour_chart.asp
Page shows gloss but you can select semi- gloss or flat/matt.
When you find the correct grey, click on it and on the next page click on the grey again and all the alternatives come up.

So far - I have not been able to do this with the battery by Bosch I wish to identify , it is 1" shorter than a standard UK tractor sise battery.
You can search Bosch batteries by capacity and dimensions here:-
-
What is the UK battery ref. It may assist me to identify a Bosch & all I have is their battery ref. & so far I have got nowhere.
-----
Seems similar (other than the dims) to a tractor size 643 , 663 or 664 346m long x 175mm wide x 232mm high
the normal SAE CCA being between 620 and 680 , 110 A/hr at the 20 hour rate.

If, you can add commuting to a classic car policy (which I hope already covers you for social and domestic use) would that not cover you?
I spoke to a recovery vehicle driver from the RAC today and he said that contractors are used for vehicles that they can't recover, so it might be worth you speaking to the RAC again.
-
Although the NFU uses the RAC, they also cover light goods and commercial vehicles, so must use heavier recovery than provided by the RAC.

You could try using an insurance broker to do the searching for you.

And as an aside, even though I spent many years as a graphic designer, I could never match the font used for the numeral "7" on the image. It's a factory-posed pic so may have been whatever the paintshop did, but I need a "3" in the same font, whatever that may be!
PM sent.

Have you tried a sail maker?
This one is not too far away from you:-

The PT Series is available in NATO Green, Desert Sand or Black so I would expect the PU mast to be the same.
-
As you have already found, telephone or letter appear to be the only ways to contact the museum.

Does anyone have a pdf copy of the TM9-1711 Rebuild manual for the White 160 AX engine we may have an issue with the bottom end and could do with the dimensions.
Cheers
Steve
If no luck with a pdf copy of the manual, have you seen this one?

Although there isn't a forum, have you tried The Scammell Register?

:mad::mad:
Seems a harsh reply to what I thought was a reasonable question and not a criticism, especially after this post from you:-
Bit of 'artistic licence' there Guy, if I had copied the original then I would properly of been criticised for poor workmanship, you wont win mate
-

Could lead to a new topic:-
Should restoration be about originality or perfection?
-
I only had these 3 photos to go by but I think its petty close considering.
You have made a tidier finish to the cover than the original, where the corners are not folded under the sides of the cover but just left to stick out.
