What was the programme ? I finally watched the rest of the Tank build, excellent programme and think the drive from the start of the battle beats the original plan hands down.

On a slightly different tack, do you HAVE to remove the manifold to get to the glowplugs, or is it just easier?
Thanks.

Ive just recently purchased an alvis shielder and i want to get it on the road. Any one ever filled in a v55/5 form to register it? Since its only 9 ton and has a flat bed it can easily be classified to use for recovery etc. So my question really is whats the best way to fill in the form as there are so many different things (eg tax class, wheelpan, what class it under, dealer code, stationary sound level, engine speed sound level, co2 etc) any help would be appreciated. Just want to no the best way to fill it in for the best chance of it getting the first form through. Cheers!
This is well worth reading:-

If you read all the posts you will see that the stowage boxes have to be removed to make a Shielder below the maximum of 2.55mtrs wide for road use

Just a quick query. I quite like the new timeline view on the new posts, but if you edit a post does it show it in the timeline?
I'm wondering if we can now edit the first post in a thread (e.g. showing progress) and have the post show up again in the timeline, or whether it only shows new posts in that thread.
Not tried this myself but it should work.
Edit original post and save.
Click on "Quote" to create a new post.
Perhaps add more of an explanation rather than just using the "Reason for edit" box in the original post.

Have you asked at the WW2 US Medical Research Centre?

Thanks Guys. Seems easy enough to get in US, but not over here.
If you can't find a repair kit, TYM supply Nitrile Nylon Diaphragm etc. material in gauges from 0.25mm to 1.5mm thick from a .5mtr x 1.2mtr sheet, although I suppose as you only need a small piece an offcut or sample would be better.

This site built a batch some years ago which were sold on e-bay. I was not aware that they were still selling them.
I don't either, you will have to ask them. The only contact details that I have found are on this page:- http://www.oldbike.eu/museum/auction/ so I hope that this helps.

There are a number of different patterns but that type would be acceptable if available.
As they are both described as WW1 WW2 Rifle Clips /Gun Mounts, you could buy the one that you like the look of most or take advice from the maker.

Are these the clips that you require?
