There always flying over mine, you name it it flys over chopers, jets, hercs. we get hercs doing drops over kevil airfield all the time always flying directly over the house b***** things. Had 15 jets go over yesterday all in a group dont know what they were, but pretty low.
  2. Yes that would be great, a couple of mine have seased solid. Im sure i could swop the material from mine to make a good one. Yes will be at W&P on the sat 19th only coming down for the day. Cheers.
  3. Cheers Clive, I did mean just the vision block itself. Will try both methods you mention.
  4. I tryed to remove my sight blocks today, but they will not budge. Do they just slide in and out easy or has my old mate rust set in,i got very frustrated so tryed a big hammer on the rear one but just managed to smash the glass to pieces.
  5. Not to worry, you still got the rams? Im going to fire her up the weekend, i cant wait to hear her puring away again. and give it a spin down the road. i noticed today that the break fluid topup cap has seased tryed WD40 but still wont budge, any suggestions?
  6. Yes it is the civillian manual i have so will have to get the EMER one. Do you still have the hand pumps for the front hatches, because i broke one of the pressure relief knobs.
  7. I dont konw what manual i have it just say's RR B series engines, so i prob have the wrong one. I will get to work on getting the relivent manuals and handbook that i need cheers. What does IPC stand for?
  8. Hi Clive. My wing is in very good condition some bullet holes. Would be great to pop over yours to see your other Humbers. Where do you live? PM me. Also cant remember what oil i need to use in the joints? I have a B series engine manual but is there any manuals on the rest of the truck axels etc?
  9. So with mine being a single speed does that mean that it does'nt need lubricating. I think mine is also black under all the dirt. Mine does have the double servo fitted. All oil will be drained first, where can i get a oil filter element or will it be ok with a good clean? Do you still want to swop your Mk2 wing with my Mk1?
  10. Hi Clive, Thanks again for showing me all the stuff that could cause me problems and what lube needs to go where. When i got back from kemble i checked my dynamo and its completely different to yours, its alot shorter and hasent got the holes you screw the caps on for wading, and hasent got the bolt hole you fill with oil. made new diaphrams for my fuel pump so going to fire her up this week and hope iv'e solved the problem.
  11. I have'nt got the answer to your question, but welcome.
  12. Was the GS truck engine painted black then? Rubber seals that go around the doors and hatches to stop draft and water getting in, they must of had them fitted.
  13. Looking good Clive. All these picks makes me want to go out and work on it. Thats another job i need to do is paint the engine. Another question i need answering is where do i get door and hatch seals from?
  14. Hi Clive, thanks for the advice i will do. Are parts readly availible(service parts) like your head gasket?
  15. A local classic car restorers called TT tested it not sure what they did. what kind of mod do you have to do to a landrover diaphram to make it fit? I think i will renew the pump diaphrams first. what kind of oil should i use?
  16. Wot are they made of? If it is holed how would that of happened?
  17. The pig has started to run very lumpy, revving one minute cutting out the next. Then i noticed the sump is full of fuel. My first thought was the fuel pump diaphrams have perished, so took the pump to be tested and was told all is ok. I was told that something is sticking open in the carb flooding the engine and the fuel is getting past the rings. is this possible? I would have thought if it was flooding the boars then it would'nt start, but it starts on the button.
  18. My mates prototype lightweight 21 BT 85 is now sold it went for £2800 on ebay, so will proberbly be on the show seen soon.
  19. Is it because he didnt have permision to use the pic off the owner?
  20. The step is the same as mine, i dont think its two steps welded together. I paid £600 for mine nearly 5 years ago, i thought that was a bargain but £40 i would have brought them all at that price. Once this one is finished ive got my eyes on a flying pig,he wont sell at the mo but im working on it.
  21. cheers Clive. Yes the hammer is vital in medical practice. Do you know if this one is still about, where was the pic taken? got any more?
