I would say if you want it as a Mk1 then try making them, as you say rocking horse poo. Mk2 hatches are prob not hard to come by.

Adam, why is it strange that the hatch is still held up by the original lever? what was the hatch modified for?

On the front wings. I noticed it has Mk1 locker lids on the wings, but no box underneath like the Mk2 wings. very strange.

If the vehicle was a FV1600 GS 1ton truck, would that be exempt???

You could of added the seats, as its not used as a goods vehicle anymore. same as old trucks converted into campers for the rally scene.

Mine is a ambulance, which is on there. It also exceeds 3500 ton. Ill cross that bridge when it comes.

On the form i dont think you have to state the catagory it falls into, I think it was just the reg number and your signature.

I went through all this with mine. better to go to DVLA and do it in person, then any discrepancies can be sorted there and then. I also rang them like you and had the same response NO. just sign the self declaration exemption form and say no more.

Looks like you have drew it on cardboard, cut it out and stuck it on Clive. you have forgot the door handle, how do you get in????

Looks nice. i thought mine was cheap grate buy. A lick of paint and she will be as good as new.

With a turbo the less restriction it has the better.

I was looking at tap and die sets just in case. Also the oil filter mounting plate needs sorting as 2 of the 3 bolt holes are threaded. The holes don't quite line up. who ever made it needs a toe up there behind.
