  1. Hello Johannes and welcome, I will be following your thread with interest, as I'm sure will many others. Looking forward to seeing some pictures. Best wishes, and good luck with your scratchbuilding. Steve.
  2. Hi, I have not looked at this thread for a while, as I thought it was all done and dusted. Having now seen your enquiry I wondered if anyone has been in touch. The original is now in new hands, but I still have the scanned images if that would suffice. The document is only for users and is not very technical, although it lists the Air Pubs for the vehicles so may be of use. Steve.
  3. Hi John, I'm not sure if it is the same vehicle, but I saw one like it at a highland show in Kinross in 2011, so there is certainly one about still. I'm sure I read some bumf about it around that time, so there should be information out there somewhere. Not sure that helps a lot, but it it would be interesting to find out more anyway. Good luck, Steve.
  4. I was always led to believe the colour was eau de nil, but don't quote me on it. Steve.
  5. Hi again Iain, I posted the pictures to see if they would be of interest to anyone, as I have no use for them. I will happily send Landguard the original free of charge, as they are obviously a good cause and presumably on a shoestring budget. As the picture was salvaged from the scrap bin, I don't know what the rights and wrongs of copyright would be, but I certainly have no claim, or wish to claim on it. I imagine if they were to display it with a disclaimer there would be no problem, even in the unlikely event of someone challenging it. If you think they would want the original, can you PM an address so that I can post it sooner rather than later, as I'm having a grand clear-out and would rather not have to put stuff to one side. Regards, Steve.
  6. That's brilliant. I was in two minds whether to bother posting them, as they seemed to me to be just common or garden pictures. I'm so glad I did - you learn something every day. The pictures will be in the post to Andy tomorrow. Steve.
  7. Hi Iain. On the back is hand-written ORD Q.F. 6-PR and WO CODE 6460, in a different hand. Also 14713. If the numbers can be tied to any specific publication(s) then it may be identifiable. Steve.
  8. Great stuff Dave, and I love the decorations. I'm waiting for my son-in-law to be posted back to England so I can get some lessons in 21st century technology, then I can throw (or give) my hammers away. Have a Happy New Year. Steve.
  9. Just found this thread and viewed your pictures, but can not get past the first one, as the body on the far left looks to me like Dennis Bach. Could it be? Steve.
  10. I hope, one day, to be able to do things like that. I was only ever any good with hammers! Steve.
  11. Hi all, Nothing special, just some photos taken by Tech Group REME in 1965 (it says on the back), which may be of use. The originals are free to anyone who can find a use for them. A Happy New Year to one and all. Steve.
  12. Hi all, These are just a few pictures I picked up years ago when the various units in Woolwich, which produced tech pubs, were disbanded/moved. I had to scan them in two goes, as they are too big for my scanner, but I'm sure they can be reattached by any computer-savvy people. If anyone can find a use for the originals, they are free to a good home. Happy new year to one and all. Steve.
  13. Hi bobs, I would suggest trying a WW1-specific site, such as the Great War Forum, as they have experts in pretty much everything WW1 related. No guarantees, but there's a very good chance someone will come up with the goods. Good luck, Steve.
  14. Hi again Clive, as I mentioned in my PM a little while ago, no rush for a cheque, so if you wait until this one arrives (I'll hope to get it posted tomorrow), then one cheque to cover both makes sense. Steve.
  15. I'm glad to hear it, and hope to hear that it arrives safe and sound, as I'm hoping it will get there in time for Christmas. To one and all out there, have a Happy Christmas and a good New Year. Steve.
  16. I'm glad to have the opportunity, I just wish I had found this forum earlier. Steve.
  17. My pleasure, and I'm glad to be able to share them. I should have found this forum years ago. Steve.
  18. As you may have noticed Bob, I have done as asked. However, I still have not had anyone interested in obtaining the original, so if you want it, just PM an address and I will put it in the post. Steve.
  19. As over half went first time, this should be the finish of it. There is a bonus of two sides of a separate Rolls Royce engine leaflet which was tucked inside the Alvis booklet. Enjoy. Steve. For some reason the RR pictures have bracketed the others, so please note that the first image should be the last, but all else is in sequential order as in the booklet.
  20. As requested by Bob, I have scanned the pages of the Alvis promotional booklet. I will attach as many as possible here (there are nearly 40) and if necessary (and allowed) will do further posts as required. The pages are slightly too big for my scanner, so some bits may be truncated. I hope you like: Steve.
  21. Hi Bob. I will scan it this evening if I can (depending who else is using the computer) and post the pics on a new thread. If not today, then over the weekend. Steve.
  22. Hi Shane, I'm not sure if there is a PM problem, but I have just replied to this message on one. Anyway, just to be sure, I will reply here too. I sent the CD to Dave this morning. If you wish, I can burn another CD for you (only pennies in the post) and still send the original booklet to Dave. Steve.
  23. Hello Shane. I did a PM yesterday but have not had a reply. If you can PM me your address I will get the book in the post before next week. Steve.
  24. Richard, I've just exchanged PMs with David and will be putting the disc in the post tomorrow (only took an hour to scan). I'm afraid it was a one-off, as most of my few pubs were army, so nothing else like it. Steve.
  25. Hello Andy. As no-one else has replied, it is yours. If you PM an address I will get it in the post ASAP. Steve.
