  3. l think its as simple as the top of each square is dissected by a wire cross so one leg in each section making crossing slow causing a build up of attackers
  4. are these constructed using plain wire ? do they have bells /cans with stones in to warn of a surprise attack attached to the wires or is it more to do with the size 3x3
  5. in each box half is shaded in does this mean for example there are more strands on two sides of the box than on the other two sides or am l look at it wrong

  15. if you trained at leconfield then you would most certainly come across a staff john davis or jd as he was known who for a number of years instructed on drops as well as been a part of the drops trials team with COL PAUL BROOK who is a forum member JD is now working for cargotec the people who make the drops system the iformation on the remote came from him as to the SRTE A remote is used but not for normal rack operation which l understood to be the question

JOHN we had both series I and 2s in the museum and in service and these were fitted with 6x50x16 tyres so l can only comment on what l know also in my time l have seen these vehicles fitted with a variety of patterns and sizes that were not original issues or to put it another way not the original factory spec REGARDS WALLY
  17. you are correct yes some light weights were fitted with bargrips but generally the 2a was fitted with trak-grips and the series 3 hi milers it just so happen l had a bit to do with them attached is my fv rarde copy from my time
  18. the 6x 50x16 bar grips where used on early landrovers jeeps some champs and quarter and half ton trailers but l do not recall seeing them on light weights as they had HI MILER GOODYEAR ULTRA GRIPS FITTED
