Those remote A units were also manufactured here in large numbers ( and in New Zealand I think ) . I would buy them for 10 bucks when I started collecting signals equipment in the 1980's. Lately, I have seen people asking ridiculous money for them on EBAY here.

Some details for you . I found a piece of the cowl rubber on one of my wrecks, Rory had this rubber extrusion reproduced . The CS8 aero screens had a little rubber bumber rest on the cowl . I found these on my 1939 CS8

mario I think you will have to ask somebody or visit Duxford ? The drawings I emailed to you are Brian's drawings . This is the truck pictured: you should take a plane ride and measure it up !

I do remember discussing CS8 cab floors with Rory Ballard via emails. Rory mentioned that the early/pre war CS8 used a plywood floor and they changed to the planks sometime around 1938/39. I am still confused to some degree because all of my CS8 have lost their original cab flooring many years ago, rotted away or eaten by termites. Only my PU has the original flooring intact thank goodness. Brian Cook's drawings are excellent, he measured up the CS8 Compressor truck which is held at Duxford ? I think this is a unmolested CS8 ?

I wonder if that is the FWD truck that was rescued and restored in Tasmania in the mid 1970' s ? The museum collection it was a part of ( near Launceston ) , was sold about 30 years ago ., including a WW2 Thornycroft workshop 6X4 , universal carrier .

I would like to help you but . It is a major undertaking, freighting heavy parts to Malta ???? I've sent two N0. 11 wireless sets to the UK, I had to make the wooden boxes, take them to a freight forward agency in Melbourne, I slept in the back of my car overnight in a car park . The paperwork, the time. I sent a No. 11 cab windscreen to the UK . I live 130 KM from any freight depot . Getting the picture ? I m not young anymore .. traffic in Melbourne is a total nightmare . Would you do all of that for me if I wanted some CS8 parts from you ? Sure I could put the parts in abox, but you would have to arrange a courier to pick it up..big money needed
