My favourite is not printable unless I want to get thrown off the forum. It's an acronym, much used by Gordon Ramsey. People will say it is an old Saxon word or other such nonsense. When in fact it came about during the late Middle Ages when the law of the land reflected the law of the Christian church. On this day in 1936, the Spanish Civil War started, in Morocco, with an Army revolt led by General Franco. He was still in power when I started going to the Costas. On this day in 1940, The Luftwaffe sent 70 planes to bomb targets in South Wales, beginning The Battle of Britain. On this day in 1944, the failed attempt to assassinate Hitler took place. On this day in 1976 the raid on Entebbe took place. I have tried to refrain from too much comment, over to you.

The reason that I want to wear it is simply because, I like it. Let me try to explain more, I love this site, and I appreciate the sacrifice that members of the Armed Forces have given, and are prepared to give. My reason for getting involved here is an extention for my love of wartime community spirit. Go back to the sixties and the release of The Beatles Sgts Peppers Album. A great deal of tosh was said about the defamation of the military uniforms that were worn. With that in mind, and with not a care to the so called purists, Is it legal, for me, or anyone else, to wear a military uniform, in a fancy dress sort of way, without incurring a charge of bringing said uniform into disrespect? The sort of functions that I enjoy going to always have people of all ages, dressed up in various sorts of uniform, in order to give the venue a sense of authenticity. My thanks to Lee Enfield, I would also much appreciate the comments from any veterans.

Can anyone tell me if I am allowed to wear a US Officer's Dress Uniform to functions like: The Jitterbug Ball? I have e-mailed Marlow White but, to date, have received no response. I am not, nor ever have been, in the armed forces.

So no consensus as to whether or not Armstrong stepped on the moon. What about the subsequent "moon landings?" Do you think that the Americans were almost ready but knew that they wouldn't beat Kennedy's by the end of the decade deadline, so faked the first one, but the rest were for real? I mean how is the Appollo 13 flight, the one depicted in the film, explained?
