On a similar note regarding modified hoods, somewhere I have a DPM 68 Patt hood that has had fur material sewn to the inside.

As I am not greedy and dont need 2 of these if anybody is interested I may possibly be tempted to sell one of these(not sure which one yet) so am open to offers-Thanks

As has been said about Hogspear before, yes he has a constant steady supply of stuff, some very very rare and exotic which you would expect to go for big money but even his run of the mill bog std items go for 2,3,4 times their realistic values, which for him as a seller he isnt going to complain I guess!!

Saw that myself.

Many Thanks Eryk.

Why would it open a can of worms?
Selling kit on?
Just asking like.
A few tales for t 'woolpack' when he gets out I bet. I must admit he always looked like one of 'them' droopy tash, Beenie hat, tatty Barbour....
Was going to ask regarding the "worms" myself but as if as stated it was used some years back then it wouldnt be current kit I guess?

All I know is the ceramic plates are US made but the cover is British made and slightly different to the US one.
-
Knew about the US version Paul(have one somewhere I bought around 15 years ago in its original issue box) but not heard of or seen a Brit made one before.

Any ideas(will post some pics when I can).
Recently got a pair of what seem to be down filled mitts with an inflatable wrist section. A few markings but no dates etc.
Colour is either a blue(Navy?) or Blue/Grey(RAF?).
These sound familiar to anybody?
Many Thanks

Dad was an OR in the RAF in WW2 as was I in the eighties. I am afraid I cannot be an officer as I put my tomato sauce all over my dinner not a blob on the side of my plate. I will go with the WPG shirt bit pricey but worth it I think.
Before you do rush in and order from WPG please factor in the possibility of getting hammered buy various charges/duties which wont be cheap.
Not trying to put you off in any way just wanted to(incase you werent already)make you aware of the nasty charges.

99.9% of everything I buy is from Ebay, most times get outbid by you guys on here I bet;)

Dutch aren't a bad match for Canadian BD but the Greek BD matches nothing used by Commonwealth forces in WW2. It is however, quite close to British 1946 pattern.
Not sure which Greek ones youve seen but the ones Ive had in the past have all been to 37Patt and in various shades ranging from green to brown and have been dead ringers for the Canuk colour, main giveaway being only 1 hook to close the collar. I do from time to time see a Greek blouse with exposed pocket buttons which you may be referring to?
Dutch ones like the Greek ones can vary in colour but the ones I have owned werent as green as the Greek ones.
-
Depending on what size you are you can buy original blouses cheaper than you can repros but as for the trs you will have to go repro Im afraid.
Or if on a budget check out the post war Greek and Dutch BDs.

Both straps are the correct Arctic type.
If anyone has an Arctic frame and fancies the challenge of re fitting this pack I have no use for it as have a complete one.
