Found the 2nd cap,similar condition to other 7 1/4 1955 made by J Collet Ltd.

Any ideas,covert/undercover operations in NI maybe?

The one with the pop stud closure started life as a plastic clip version as you can see the stitch marks where the plastic clips were. What reason it was changed to pop studs I have no idea-damage to the plastic clips or maybe for ease of use???

There are faded markings on both(genuine issue).

Been after one of these for 10 years plus but was not prepared to pay the stupid money they go for then what do you know,bought 2 in the space of a month

My first thoughts were Canadian as well.

Reason Im thinking Nato/European is a while back(no longer have it) had a similar green one and that was stamped up/marked etc and cannot remember if it was(not much help Im sure)Norwegian,Dutch or Belgian.

Dont know why but the blue one Im thinking Nato/European.

Seen a few mods like this to the Middle Parka.......nearly all having a modified collar attached, often using the lower portion of the detachable hood.........no doubt for an officer !:-D Other mods seen included the rear "tail" being reduced to a horizontal hem...........

The "tail" has indeed been removed and is now horizontal.

I love it but like so many of these the sleeves are so dammn bloody short.

Thought Canadian at first but their Broad Arrow is circled by a C is it not?

Anybody noticed the steady supply(on a weekly basis)these days of OG 60 Patt Jkts and Trs on Ebay lately?

Probably is some African country but not SA.

That Khaki ones turn up regularly on Ebay,think there are a couple on there now.
