There was a full set on Ebay a couple of weeks back and the seller claimed they had LOADS more,havent seen any more listed though.

The 58 Patt web set granted is an early MK1 set but still not worth half what it went for and from what I can see the balaclava and cold weather hat are std issue items and nothing special,a tenner for both maybe?

Granted,he has a constant supply of some very very rare and desireable items which the prices would be understandably high but also a lot of his common,run of the mill items go for stupid money??

I remember years back when I first got one of these belts there was a guy on an Australian Vietnam forum that was adamant that these were also used by some Australian units as well which I found hard to believe and cannot remember if they posted photographic evidence etc but will try to see if I can find the details.

Was going to say Dutch or Belgian myself(cannot remember which one though!!)

Straps for the alum man pack carrier.

Have the trs as well but havent unpacked them yet to check labels etc.

What a load of bull****,they were the std combat jacket the NZ army and certainly not specific to Paras or SAS.

They are rareish in the UK but thats about it.

Gave me a good chuckle though;)

Its been stored away but from memory,yes it does have a crotch flap like the British 68 Patt smocks.

Unfortunately for me I have to rely on Ebay for 99.9% of all my stuff as have no surplus shops for miles around and hardly ever these days go to car boot sales etc:(

Hogspear does my head in big time(pure jealousy on my part)as he has a constant stream of amazing items so very rarely take much notice anymore as some are super rare items way out of my budget or ordinary items that sell for stupid money so tend to avoid his items.

Didnt save the number but a post war one sold for silly money the other day on Ebay by Hogspear.

Not sure if these are any better.

Will try to take some more pics when I get a chance.

I find it the other way around in that the Smocks are rarer than the trs and go for STUPID money while the trs can still be picked up for not so stupid money.
