l think you have to ask are there any other examples what it would it cost to rebuild as  empty shell who is going to fund it what  is its long term future if you do rebuild it l am not been negative  but these are questions to have answers to

I can remember  years ago when that radar trailer was still complete..ish in a poor state then, and well vandellised,. it was then  burnt out in a large fire, which burnt the tyres and reduced the body to the pile of twisted rusty scrap it is now ...below is a link to a  complete rusty but Original identical radar trailer that has been saved and still had most of its radar equipment intact too so made it a feaseable  proposition to restore

Does that mean they didn't quite meet their reserves?

It was an executors estate sale there was no reserve its up to the vendor to decide if the price was acceptable,...I would think yes..

The RB 44 in question is actually a petrol engine vehicle pre 1980s can't get no clear information on this was just curious if it's compliant or not I'm guessing not due to age no doubts ?

that would be a Civilian RB as used by Utility companies, and as Fire engines, its Not Military, is it a V6 Ford engine ? what year is it? to be Historic Exempt 40year old it has to be pre 1980.  otherwise It will Not be ULEZ compliant, must be Euro 4 petrol, or pay £12.50 a day. but it can still be used ok outside of the ULEZ, which expands out to the North & South circular roads in October this year

  4.  a Military RB 44 with the original Perkins Phaser engine Cannot enter London ! .. the requirment for the recent Inner London ULEZ is Euro 6 diesel...the old 1990's Perkins engine is Not even LEZ compliant ! the minimum for LEZ is Euro 3 diesel made from 2001 on, so it Cannot enter the Outer London LEZ, that area covers virtually everywhere inside the M25.  An RB is not older enough to be exempt Historic.

If by not correct you mean this reported donation to Pima Air museum, I hope so. Pima has had past dealings with Duxford - https://pimaair.org/museum-aircraft/mil-mi-24d/

I have always loved the land warfare hall, and will be personally devastated if he exhibits were to go.

A few years back IWM Duxford announced plans to Demolish the Land Warfare hall, which in recent years had been closed to visitors,  and replace it with more aircraft exhibit hangers and reduce the vehicle exhibits

IWM last year were granted planning permission to build a 160 room Hilton hotel on their site, beside the Airspace building

Perhaps paving the way, to get some interesting vehicles gifted back here. From the Museum in the states in the future?.....

I doubt it, the vehicles are probably from the Land Warfare hall at Duxford which the IWM announced several years ago a plan to replace the hall with more aircraft display buildings and reduce the number of vehicles on show, concentrate Duxford as an air museum
