A show run by enthusiasts would make all the difference compared to a hard faced company all out for profits, especially if they want to recover loses from Covid.
Come along to the brilliant Capel Military vehicle show, 2/3 July, Surrey/Sussex border, Free to enter, run entirely by Enthusiasts, any profits go to charities

What grade of oil are you using ? a long thrash on the motorway will get the oil really hot and thin, the wrong grade will give low pressure when very hot

The armoured Lightweight was Not used by the Military/ Navy, it is a Civilian Conversion, ..in the 1980's a security company in the London area ran several ex military Landrovers converted to armoured cash transit vehicles including this Lightweight, they were painted in gloss black paint

I don't believe that is a MkII LRC. They were 4x4. This one is 4x2 with five stud wheels intended for 9.25 - 16 tyres but with 9.00 - 16 American NDCC fitted. These won't easily fit onto normal eight stud British wheels but will onto the lighter ones intended for 9.25 - 16s.
David
The first pic if study it the front beam axle is just visible, it is 4x2

Are these photos not just the same two Americans sitting in a Quaint old British armoured car, it was not neccesarily in USAAF service , could it have belonged to local Home guard unit?

With the shambolic state of DVLA at present dont think there is Any "Fast track" for anything from them, waiting time is about 5 weeks.
To drive commercially you will first need to get your CPC up to date

Fit it if you want, most distributors dont have them

As above post re oil to lubricate the points heel, fitting new points will not affect the ignition timing, Do not move the distributor if your not familiar with setting ignition timing

Certainly not quick as a Flash! I note that they are now testing at Milbrook rather than Hurn or Longcross.
Andy
Longcross was closed down sold off years ago, its now a film studio/industrial park, & housing development, Hurn is/was a driver training site
