It is a military 180 gallon water tank trailer chassis from ww2, During the war AC Cars entered into war production and are listed as building fire fighting vehicles and equipment, including " Water Tank trailers" ,as in the pic , various other manufacturers/ contractors built the same thing too in large numbers, not just AC, they were all made to the same standard design ....

.I wonder if the Farmer still has the water tank?  ..the only value for such a thing is if it was complete with water tank, pump & filters.  Alas as it is just a trailer chassis its only of nominal value, the AC connection really only adds novelty value to it.

AC built other things apart from cars too including several railway trains, including the Southend Pier train

Similar Shell aviation can on Ebay has "Valor 39" on the base,so assume your can is 37...1937

The 13" "desert" wheels were mounted on special hubs, different to the original car,  it will be very difficult to find any hubs or wheels now,.. also the 900x13" tyres are not made anymore so also very scarce thing to find

It would be no surprise if the do wind up W&P revival Ltd,  that would explain why they floated a new Company in April, Blosville Ltd, trading as "War and Peace show", dropping the "Revival" name, ..wait and see what appears at Company house,

I think now since all the category changes, Anything pre 1960 over 3.5 ton is considered as an historic commercial vehicle, regardless of body type,  a Saracen is capable of carrying goods, an armoured van?  so qualifes as a goods vehicle and so only needs a car licence.

most early armoured cars were built on commercial truck chassis, the pre 1960 commercial vehicle exemption the type of body is not specified, it does not neccesarily need to be a load carrier, if it was a Post 1960 vehicle it maybe questionable

A pre 1960 Historic commercial vehicle, which would include a wheeled armoured car, ie. anything over 3.5ton only requires a Car licence to drive it

Such a shame that the LMMR, Longmoor Military railway has all gone, the A3 road now passes through the site of Longmoor junction and Station,  as featured in the film "The Great St Trinians train robbery"
