  1. A SGT Wallace was the REME PSI.

You will probably remember Nobby Clarke - he was NRPS C Sqn although in his time he was sabre. He retired from the Regiment during my spell.

I came across some old papers from my spell with 21 and I'm trying to recall what I have done with them. :dunno: I'm sure there will be a few names familiar to you. I'll PM you with them when I find them.

  2. I served with 21 SAS (V) as a VM in the LAD.

Was attached to C squadron located in Bramley, Basingstoke where they film Scrapheap Challenge.

Then moved to HQ just before the HQ moved to Regents Park Barracks from Duke of Yorks.

Must be getting old, can't remember dates but I think I left in 2002 when I joined the Fire Service.

I remember I was offered the opportunity to undertake selection - laugh, I nearly cried -

    DO I LOOK STUPID. :coffee2:

  3. I have heard the 2008 show may well be the last W+P at The Hop Farm -

More likely due to the fact the main show organisers are stepping down after the 2008 show.

We shall wait and see but it's worth remembering the majority of the Hop Farm's income is from all the events which are staged on the land.

It would be a brave man to try and equal the revenue gained from ALL the events at the farm by doing something else.

It may well be the case that the show organisers, move W+P to another site.

  4. Hi Pete

MODS - Can I have my free HMVF pen now.

  5. Top banana Grumpy - that's exactly what Comma Oil told me.

Apparently, a GL4 rated EP oil has less additives than a GL5 EP oil - hence GL5 EP will damage yellow metal products - a GL4 EP oil will not - and that's official.

Also spoke to Penrite Oil who confirmed the above -

So all those paying for a single grade SAE90 - check out what you can use because a mild EP 90 - GL4 - will be cheaper than a non EP oil.

  6. Before I went green - I had loads of money and no sense -

Now I just have no money and no sense. :shake:

I was into Lotus Cars -

LOTUS - Lots of trouble, usually serious.

Started with an Excel, then brought another. Then had an Esprit GT3, then an Exige.

Was a member of the Lotus Driving Club - infact should really cancel my membership as I don't think the WLF qualifies.

Would I turn the clock back - absolutely not.

  7. I think relatives of those awarded medals in whatever conflict have the god given right to display such medals - not only as a mark of respect but also pride for what their relatives had to endure to be awarded them in the first place.

If I fell off the band wagon suddenly - I would want one of my relatives to wear my medals to my funeral and remembrance parades, etc.
