  1. Chris, I remember going to one of his tender sales,it must be nearly acouple of years ago, and there were 432's with all the engine panels in place but no power packs.I met some people who were going to bid not reallising there was no motor in it :dunno:I'll say that if it's all wired and connected up there won't be a lot wrong with it.Good luck. DaveP
  2. Chris As long as the pack is fixed in there and complete, a non runner won't be a problem. The ones from Withams tend to be missing dipsticks and throttle linkages and other bits bobs.Actual power packs and their components are not a problem,Ive got a few packs here for spares. If you need anything or help give me a shout:argh: DaveP
  3. Chris, you stopped taking your pills again.Could have been worse,it could have been one of his CVRT,s DaveP
  4. Out here in the Welsh borders everythings slow ,we can only muster 1mb on broadband on a good day with the little bloke in the local exchange pedalling as fast as his little legs will go :nut:can anyone help? Mind you the sheep are like lightening :shake: Signed Out of breath DaveP
  5. Tony Please inform Jack that Dougies machine is a Carrier,Personel,Full Tracked FV432 Mk 2. My machine is a Carrier,Maitenance,Full Tracked FV 434 Mk 1/1 :cofee:.The difference between a Mk1 & Mk 1/1 being that the Mk 1/1 is designed to to accept a heater kit to its ventilation system and was included on all vehicles post reg 00ED90. :deal:.Now just where did I leave that anorak :computerterror:. As for the subject of fish I'm still trying to convince 'she who must be obeyed' that I used to work on the docks with a coloured lady and that it was a purely proffessional relationship.I don't think she's 100% happy with my explanation but the doctor says the bruising should go away and the dog says I'm welcome to use his kennel anytime as long as I leave it tidy and don't snore and smell' so thankyou for mentioning that and I hope to return the compliment in the near future signed Homeless
  6. Thanks Tony & team for a good w/end,it was certainly a good crack :-D especially seeing as hardly any of us had ever met before.Certainly the words dust & orifices crop up in most conversations about it. Tony I promise to try and fix the "Norman Collier"intercom system on the 434 for next time  and you can tell Roy in the pub the 'gnome'will return. Anyway look forward to seeing you all again somewhere.Anyone coming to Kemble please call at our tent for a cuppa Cheers DaveP
  7. The 434 is nearly ready to go :whistle:starter motor's decided it should only work part time,it should last the trip :redfaced:half my kit not loaded :roll:situation quite normal really. Why is it ,had loads of time to prepare and still last minute struggle,is it just me who'll be working late Friday night? :yawn2: Is there a run on Saturday,if so I'll be looking for a little help to unload :help:as my helpers won,t be arriving until Sat eve.Plenty of room up top for a ride after though. Cheers Dave P
  8. If I'm not mistaken that's the trailer I used to own and sold to Dave Crouch at Leicester.I got it to pull behind a Daf 616 I had at the time but never used it :dunno:.It had been really well shot blasted and loads of paint thrown at it. 8-) The only probs with it were the tyres were a bit perished and the turntable bearings sounded a bit dry. I don't think you'd find a tidier trailer though, have fun! Cheers Dave P
  9. Yes, a nice setting on the old ammo depot and a chance to do some off roading :naughty: I'll be bringing some of your mud back from last year on my 434! lets pray for better weather this time. Has the guy got his Zil submersible going ok  Dave P

  11. I've got a Bedford RL Recovery 35CL97 Chassis no RLC3 33522. It's never been registered for road and as I'm nearing completion day(over 2yrs late) it's about time I did something about it.I did try age relating it with MVT a while back but found it hard work-no records basically. :banghead: Has anyone out there aged anything like this lately,I believe the Logistics Corps Museum (or similar) have all the records now,has anyone gone through the procedure with them? :help: Cheers DaveP

  13. Simon Never had a problem at Worcester DVLA office,I reg'd my two vehicles there 6 or 7 years ago and my mate did his a couple of months ago. The biggest problem I've ever had was an officious postmaster refusing to retax a Stalwart without a MOT cert. :banghead: Cheers DaveP
  14. Hi Tony, Plain trip still sounds great but is the pub car park up to a 40ft artic complete with 432/4 on board or is there somewhere handy(and safe)to park up.There again I suppose I can park the 43 where I want! :naughty: Cheers Dave P
  15. All being well I'll be taking 432/434 to Salisbury and can give you an insight into what's required. That doesn't mean taking your test on the pub car park! Dave
  16. This is bad news,I'll only be able to drink with a doctors note and permission from Her Indoors.I think you'd better make sure of that extension lead Tony and I'll have to keep taking the pills. Still sounds like a cracking weekend though. DaveP
