  1. Heres a quick update on the semi trailer, all of the painting inside is just about done. I had some stainless steel sheet cut to size for a splash back behind and beside the sink. The panels are also now fitted under the sink. I have also had a unit built in with shelves for storage for pans, tins of grub ect. This also is the storage for the 12 volt batteries at the bottom of the unit. These are used to power the 12 volt lighting, extractor fan, water pump, rear warning light on trailer ect. There is also a management charger built in to keep them topped up.All of the water plumbing is also now done, as well as most of the gas supply. I have also put in floor vents for gas venting should there be a leak.Well I wont bore you any more. I will get some pics when I am next in there. Thats all folks. Howard.
  2. Cracking on with the RL today,I managed to get all of the front end on,and lined up. I have now stripped part of it down, and I am now welding the cheek panels back in position, I had to fabricate the curves of metal that the cheek panels bolt to, as these had rotted away.I was very pleased how it has all lined up.Heres a couple of pics with the front end all back on for lining up.I shall carry on with the welding tomorrow. Then start reparing it for painting. Well thats it for now. Howard
  3. Well M you are certainly cracking on with that,it will be nice to see it on the Suffolk Circuit, first port of call, War time weekend at the Mid Suffolk Light Railway ? not far to take either.Keep up the good work. Howard
  4. Its been a while since I updated the rebuild of the Bedford RL, Well the cab is now back on the chassis after the welding repairs have been carried out, the fuel tank has also been primed and top coated in black gloss paint. The roof and and the back of the cab have also been prepped and painted, I have also painted the top half of the inside of the cab in the cream colour that it should be.. I am now putting all of the front panels on and lining it all up before the cheek panels get welded back in place, and the front wings get bolted back on. Well thats about it bit of a quick update but it gives you an idea of whats been going on. Heres a misty pic just for Clive! Howard
