  1. And another lesser known manufacturer...super condition and decent size:
  2. Another Canuck parka - superb condition - if it wasn't for the names on the labels I would have mistaken this for NOS. Good size as well. Out of interest any idea what animal provided the fur on the hood?! :cool2:
  3. Hmm - interesting! All I can say is type MTP into an eBay search and you will quickly come to the conclusion that the military police are going to be very, very busy!
  4. Yes quite agree! I recall taking a punt on an MTP smock on eBay some time ago (still not quite sure why - may well have been after a few glasses of wine ;-) and when it turned up it was the PCS version! I recall it had literally been a few weeks since this version had been released to a few front line units.... Who/how they were being obtained I have no idea....and frankly don't want to know.
  5. Sounds right - see earlier thread link for photos of jacket and label: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?26155-Jacket-Overall-Green&highlight=denim
  6. Yes - that is my understanding also - old sizing 1-9...
  7. Yes Steve - I was there in the Summer and they did have some left. Again not large sizes but I didn't have the courage to dig to the bottom of the pile - which I firmly beleive would have been the end of me had it toppled over!
  8. Yes - they do come up on eBay. Here is a size 5 for sale now. It is true though that the larger sizes are harder to find. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-1966-dated-British-Army-Green-Overall-Jacket-size-5-by-J-Mendelberg-Co-/150943785212?pt=UK_Collectables_Militaria_LE&hash=item2324f360fc
  9. This one perhaps?: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?26155-Jacket-Overall-Green&highlight=denim
  10. Been looking for a size 9 Smock Sateen for a while. Finally tracked one down. In pretty good condition - one or two bits of wear but overall very pleased.
  11. A very nice example of the first pattern trousers mentioned above sold yesterday on eBay - Hogspear again! Whilst i would have liked to have added this missing first issue to my examples of the 2nd and 3rd issues I just couldn't justify the £80+ they eventually sold for! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1952-Dated-Double-Thickness-Olive-Green-Windproof-Type-Combat-Trousers-FZV-/140860530297?pt=UK_Collectables_Militaria_LE&hash=item20cbf11e79&nma=true&si=3DG1A%2Bz75O7I%2FAfBcqAFveLwPEs%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  12. Tony - looks like a 1959 Pattern Para smock. Issued 1960's into 1970s until the DPM para smock showed up around 1977/78. Is the label legible?
  13. Nice example of a WRAC Greatcoat. Postwar dated and in a decent size. Came from bale of issue in storage since early 1950s. Sadly many of the buttons on other examples had discoloured and leaked onto the material of the Greatcoat. Does anyone know the sizing for these ie what is the biggest size available?
  14. Strange! I had an identical example turn up in a stash recently....I had assumed it was an early Bergen liner.
  15. I have a couple of examples of these from the 1970s but did not realise they were issued as far back at the 1950s. Any idea when they were introduced and subsequently phased out? 1984/85 Pattern trousers do not have the internal waist band buttons for braces so I am guessing they disappeared in the mid 1980s. These are in NOS condition.
  16. Great buy - and a pretty uncommon maker as well...
  17. Saw that Steve and I concur - thought exactly the same.... Really nice example and a real shame that the label is not legible. Hogspear really does come across some nice items but they do go for a premium!
  18. Thanks Paul - super info and context. Would like to see the full list you mention of all the kit if you can track it down. May be worth posting on here.... Are you interested in parting with the Arctic cover you mention?
  19. Just found a great informative thread over on BushcraftUK on this. Interesting piece. http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92174
  20. Again not mine but interested to know any history on this item...I have seen 'Rucksack GS' amd 'Rucksack SAS' but not this variant - 'Rucksack Arctic'. A Marine specific example?
  21. Wish I could claim it was mine! Currently in the process of negotiating purchase from a local contact....:cool2:
  22. At risk of repeating here but a nice example of a large size 1960 pattern DPM smock:
  23. It is a bit more complicated. Sizes in trousers are 1 - 23. Quite how that translates into small, med, large I am not sure so anything that Clive (or anyone) can post may help!
  24. Not in great condition and on a 60Patt DPM Smock but these could be similar to the stripes style you are looking for:
