  1. A quick question on the back axle convoy light. On my 1944 Morris it has a convoy light on the rear chassis underneath to shine on the back axle. Would the back axle have been painted a different colour to reflect the light or just the standard OD15? :|

  2. We have a road leading into our small town that is like a patchwork quilt when it comes to road repairs. Apparently its that bad because they kept tanks along that bit of road waiting to get shipped down to the south. I point out that we used to have a major rail works, workshops here. (The Royal train is kept here!) . The main walls of the rail works still retained their camouflage until a few years ago but it has mostly weathered away now. Wolverton, in North Bucks if anyone is interested. :-)

  3. I would say definitely armoured vehicle maybe even tank. Are there any markings or labels on them? How big are they? Did they come with the MCC bits? And finally......do you have a Paypal account Rolf?

  4. Ive no idea on those filters, they look huge. As a side note for all you MCC owners, in case you havent seen it there is a 25 pounder limber for sale on Milweb, that would look the part behind your MV! 8-)

  5. Ahh, steering wheels- fantastic, they have to be better than the one i have now! Do you have the data plates for the grease points which are made of brass and sit below the switchboard? Engine covers?Radiator surround?Mudguards?

  6. Just like to post my congrats to the boys with their Heavy Metal article in CMV mag. It makes me want one even more, even though they are a bit new for my taste! Great pics. Thge thought of driving one down the dual carriageway at 70mph+ would warrant a trouser change :eek2:, let alone taking one round Brands Hatch! :shake: Is that for real?? Answers on a postcard please.

  7. It makes you wonder how many forgotten gems are hiding in French barns. Im trying to persuade my dearly beloved that we go for a holiday in France(shes not keen! :dunno:), but I can see me rooting around old barns! :-D
