I have always wondered if any company done a replica body/kit to put on a Beetle running gear to transorm it into a Kubel/Schwimmwagen. Anyone know of such a company? 8-)

Just get your list sorted Rolf! Thats 3 radiators you have there as well!
Im gobsmacked....(Ancient British term meaning mildly surprised!) :-D

For those interested what is/used to be or might be in your area as in Army Camps. English Heritage has this website so you can access the data. Its the Archaeology data Service. You dont even need to wear an anorak to see it (but it helps). :police:

We have a road leading into our small town that is like a patchwork quilt when it comes to road repairs. Apparently its that bad because they kept tanks along that bit of road waiting to get shipped down to the south. I point out that we used to have a major rail works, workshops here. (The Royal train is kept here!) . The main walls of the rail works still retained their camouflage until a few years ago but it has mostly weathered away now. Wolverton, in North Bucks if anyone is interested. :-)

Apparently paraffin is pretty good, just let it sit in the bores.

Tony, if that was 10th to the 21st Feb, has it already finished?

I just came across another website for MV's and they have a section for members to post videos. Any chance of the webmaster and/or Jack considering this? Its not like they have anything better to do!
-
Might have to take you up on that ride Jack! Been looking on ebay for a sit on lawnmower that I can paint Olive Drab. So as long as it doesnt clash with any of my employees having time off and family etc, count me in. The sooner a date is fixed the better for me! :-D

May be a bit ambitious for me to get my sandblasted chassis up and running! Unless I get a landy for the short term....hmmmmmm  Deffo interested tho!

I would say definitely armoured vehicle maybe even tank. Are there any markings or labels on them? How big are they? Did they come with the MCC bits? And finally......do you have a Paypal account Rolf?
-
Ive no idea on those filters, they look huge. As a side note for all you MCC owners, in case you havent seen it there is a 25 pounder limber for sale on Milweb, that would look the part behind your MV! 8-)

Rolf, emailed you a list, let me know if you didnt receive it.
Cheers

Ahh, steering wheels- fantastic, they have to be better than the one i have now! Do you have the data plates for the grease points which are made of brass and sit below the switchboard? Engine covers?Radiator surround?Mudguards?

Not quite sure what you mean by "a lot of different parts"? Can you clarify Rolf.
Cheers ;-)

Just like to post my congrats to the boys with their Heavy Metal article in CMV mag. It makes me want one even more, even though they are a bit new for my taste! Great pics. Thge thought of driving one down the dual carriageway at 70mph+ would warrant a trouser change :eek2:, let alone taking one round Brands Hatch! :shake: Is that for real?? Answers on a postcard please.

Another yaer older, but probably none the wiser!

It makes you wonder how many forgotten gems are hiding in French barns. Im trying to persuade my dearly beloved that we go for a holiday in France(shes not keen! :dunno:), but I can see me rooting around old barns! :-D

Welcome to the madhouse! They are a bit like Pringles, once you pop, you just cant stop! Bought my first last year, undergoing restoration, and want another!! :-D
Convoy light question
in British Vehicles
Posted
A quick question on the back axle convoy light. On my 1944 Morris it has a convoy light on the rear chassis underneath to shine on the back axle. Would the back axle have been painted a different colour to reflect the light or just the standard OD15?
